Seriously. I wouldn't try 'making' anything. Molex to PCI-E power adapters and even PCI-E power splitters are cheap enough. I picked up a bunch at my local shop cause I didn't want to wait for newegg's delivery. Sure your local pc shop will have them. They were a few bucks each. Not a whole lot more then ordering them but without the wait. As mentioned as long as you have enough power coming outta your PSU, it'll be fine.

If the card itself is bad, then this naturally wouldn't do anything to help.

A 4pin to 6 pin connector might work for you. Assuming you have adequate power from your power supply.

I think your power supply needs to be replaced with a bigger one. You may need around 500 W power supply and it usually already comes with the 6-pin connector. You should check the manufacturer's website to see what the minimum requirements are for the video card.

I assume you have adequate power for the card, etc. meaning it is in fact the card itself and not a lack of 75W from the connector?
