One of the best ways one could use them profitably is to use them to solve multiple problems at the same time. Satoshi seems to understand this and was able to suggest using Bitcoin miners as source of heat and for mining Bitcoin at the same time, which is sort of solving two different problems with miner at the same time. So instead of buying heater and periodically paying for gas/electricity to heat your home during winter, you simply use one of the by-products of the miners which is heat to heat your home when you need to while at the same time mining Bitcoin and earning some income. A more clever person could find ways to use the miners to solve three of more problems at the same time. I will advice including problems that you normally would pay money for to solve. Or for problems other people normally pay money to solve. It's important to discover different by-products from the Gpu to effectively put into use and earn/save money with them.

start offering rendering services man.

Mining GPU's are not usefull in https://www.kibrit.com.tr/rental-gpu-render-farm/ Cloud Render Farm, Because RAM issues.
we use 24 gb lowest ram with 10K cuda Core. in our Cloud Render Farm.

I have about still 20+ GPUs left after crypto bust after managed to sell some. With better cards coming out, the chances of selling the rest is getting increasingly slim. I wanna find some other usage than cryptomining.

Has anyone explored this path? One thing I am really interested is in GPU rental for AI machine learning. I think there could be some usage.
It appears there are some businesses that enables to do but it does not seem widespread. Nevertheless I would like to explore.

Here is one example site. https://vast.ai/hosting/?fbclid=IwAR3OD2_a3ck9lcuMMCfxXg3RLKroD2VTZ3Wva1yjc2-tZj3KHVHjJbQu680
I have found several more but I did not pursue being some time ago.

The problem with my current system is that the mining boards I have is H81 BTC PRO with older Intel CPU that does not support AVX instructions. I am thinking about what I can do upgrade to motherboard + cpu combination that supports AVX (AI ML) as well as being able to accomodate 4-8 GPUs on single board.

Did you try Golem.network? you could earn Golem coins for renting out your GPU

Where??
I am studying vulkan API and OpenCL programming and can do basic stuff, how to load GPU programs into GPU to execute. This way, I can at least get to know the basics.

i don't think it's a good idea, you will not get much because the difference between your price and the actual income of the one who rent your farm, is almost zero, otherwise they are stupid and they lose money, the only way where this work is on new coin where there is instamining, but in this case they will choose bigger farm

I have 11 RX 570, with $0.1/kWH electricity price, it will make only $0.5/day after electricity cost. This is nothing

Im not even aware about this GPU rental of AI machine learning but talking about this line;

"Full Employment for GPUs

Rent out your GPU to make your hobby pay for itself. Transform your mining farm into a GPU training center and earn ~2x to ~4x more per gpu-hour than mining cryptocurrency. We connect you with customers and provide simple tools to streamline hosting. You set your own prices and schedules. Get started today."

2x-4x earning than crypto does sounds too good to be true.If i were you never ever consider this one and rather sell off those cards to marketplaces even though its quite cheaper but this is the wisest thing to do rather than on bothering to this thing.

I think that you can either sell your cards but that is the worse option as prices have real fallen down in ebay and other marketplaces. The best to do I think is to shutdown the cards right now or if your electricity allows for it and you can make a profit why not keep them running. These are the only options left for Gpu people, other uses I think are not worth.I have my rigs running though as my electricity allows for it and I believe in a distant or not so distant day when we all crypto enthusiasts will be happy we kept our mining devices on.

Over the years a few places have attempted to make a market for us home miners to try get our cards out there for things like AI/Machine learning rentals
sadly the requirements didnt fit most the time with the average miner
these AI places need , yupp modern CPU instructions, and usually massive amounts of RAM, like 32GB+ per Rig, which us miners dont really do haha
if u need to sell, build the GPUs into full "gaming" desktops to sell that way, Xmas is coming!  that was the only way i could sell mine Sad
Good Luck!

I think quick solution is sell it to gamer.
There is maybe some problem if GPU not used in long time. I never try rent it for AI machine learning.
But i ever rent it for my friend who want render whole animation, video, and 3D architecture. If using normal computer need 1 day to render, with my computer he can render in 3 hours. Maybe the fee is small, but better than waiting people who want rent your GPU.

The mining rush is over and I really do not think that it will come back soon. Probably after some years, we'll see history repeat itself but not soon.

The problem is, after some years, our current rigs and GPUs will be so outdated and it wouldn't make sense to use them. It would be a whole new gold rush with new players and new mining equipment. I doubt how much profitable it can be tho as there are now more "woke" people that are eager to get back to mining as soon as it becomes profitable again.

Also yeah, i've tried looking for ways to keep my GPU mining rigs profitable, i even tried some "folding@home" but they never really paid enough compared to crypto. Best to sell rigs and GPUs now to gamers.

You can look a lot and the result will be the same as for almost everyone: it's not worth

When you have a lot of GPUs, in my opinion, you have 2 options:

Clean all GPUs, put in the box, and sell, make your money and invest in something else
or
Put them to mine if you have a cheap electricity and wait for a increase in price

The answer is already in your title. Why not sell your gpu hashrate to https://www.miningrigrentals.com/ it wil give you better earnings just make sure that you calculate the electricity cost minus the time they rent your rig.

True but the thing is there are already so many people who want to rent out their rigs for a little more profit than mining but it is not a guarantee that the rig will be rented.
So for a long time, the rig will be inactive until and unless someone rents it and it might not be worth the wait or money.

The only way is to sell the rigs now for whatever price you can get because the prices will only go downhill from here as there are new GPU launches and discount offerings for the current one.

About AI I think it's not a better alternative to earn. You can also use your rig for brute forcing why not offer this to people like bruteforcing wallet.dat password with BTCrecovery there are some people here that I heard hiring someone to bruteforce their wallet.dat so you can offer your service and earn percentage of the wallet funds.

Other than that, I don't see any usage of a mining rig to make you earn and get your ROI back without selling it.

All of these AI type websites and such are not going to pay you enough to even cover electricity costs.

I thought the same as I had a lot of rigs with me but with time, I was able to sell 95% of it. In a month I'll be able to sell everything that I do not want anymore.
It took eight months but it's better than keeping them lying around and waiting that the prices will come back and mining will be profitable.
The mining rush is over and I really do not think that it will come back soon. Probably after some years, we'll see history repeat itself but not soon.
