If they are not shipped from the official sites then they might be bought into India personally by person willing to sell it. This person might be then selling at high cost to cover up his charges and take out the profits for his own.

Plus even though they bring it on personal level then also there custom clearance stage at the airport which will levy high charges on the shipment. That's why everything becomes costly in India.

Friend, in my opinion forget about bitcoin mining. The main problem is our customs officials wont understand this bitcoin concept and they may think it as some dangerous equipment. So its better to mine ethereum using gpu cards and if you want bitcoin, just exchange your ethereum with bitcoin. That's the only option. Its not like you are not suppose to buy asic miners in India, but it will take a lot of time and paper work to get customs clearance from them.

I have heard in many places that bitcoin mining machines are shipped and delivered without any issues. Then why Indian custom officials alone check the equipment and all the package coming. I don't think miner case is that much and not covered to check completely. GPU mining is the one of the best option to start your mining career. You can invest fund and get the returns still it is profitable.

see reason why its high cost because in India they change very high custom duty . so even if any one got the chance to order in there site even there is huge demand and supply is less . They import they payed the cost+ duty and then they sell ate premium rate because they also added the  there own profit for this ..

I was hoping to order ASICs miners but in every official site it is either out of stock or does not ship to my country (India).
And sites like ebay and amazon sell them for insane prices like around 3x or 4x their original price.
I see a lot of youtube videos using multiple GPUs for mining( like 6 or 8 )...So i was wondering if these people use GPU setup just because they cannot get their hands on an ASIC miner or do they see any benefits from GPUs?
If anyone has any links to legit websites that sell ASIC miners...Ill be pleased to visit them.
On the other hand if i should build a GPU mining setup, can someone experienced help me setup the rig?
And also what are the advantages of having a GPU mining setup over an ASIC miner?
And besides, electricity cost is cheap here..so there is no worries about it.
ASIC= Bitcoin
GPU= Altcoins

Its peoples preference on what he would like to mine but seeing on your situation I assume that you do plan to buy asic on Bitmain.Am I right? They are always out of stocks due to high demand which we don't really have the patience to wait for longer months until their stocks would come out.There would be a lot of queue.GPU mining is also good as long you would see its profitable there are lots of guided on how to set it up even on ASICs.

Mining with an ASIC is synonymous to turning up to a gold mine armed with a trowel and a Bunsen burner. Mining with GPU is like trying to do the above in your back garden. It’s simply not worth it. You’re up against several orders of magnitude faster kit. y the time you make back money for the machines and the immense power you need to keep adding as difficulty increases it ends up a losing battle or a barely profitable battle unless you have tens of thousands to spend on gear and free electricity so buying and holding ends up better. If you were mining years ago when less people were doing it and difficulty was much lower you could have bought heaps of gpu's and made a mint, now companies spend millions on mining so unless you can also it will not be worth it in the long run.

I heard some member here also they order asic from ebay but after they received the asic in their package is holding by police in your country and never give out or give to the receiver of the product because bitcoin mining is not allowed in your country..
So for me i think it will be a good idea to choose build your mining rig with GPU gtx 1070/gtx 1080TI would be great profit but its expensive if you really wanted cheap build go to gtx 1050 Ti slow and less electricity consumption  it will be still profitable but its not as fast as the other gpu that i mention above..
