I'm just registering my GPU's for warranty, for a trivial amount I can extend the warranty to 5 or 10 years...
do EVGA and such like pay out if you have used it for mining and if it packs up in 2 years because of that do you think they will replace it?
I don't think you need more than two years warranty because after two years you usually sell the you for the next generation that are better and more efficient
I have some 7970. They are still working well for mining. That is 5 years old card.
I still have one 7970 with original fans going strong.
But the last two 7950 I had the fans completely died on (I had purchased replaced heatsink / fans a while back so I'm just going to replace them).

On the original topic... I started buying PNY GPUs as you can register for a limited lifetime warranty on many of their products... and I got a good deal on them.
The Sapphire fan is quite good.
