How does this belong in the hardware marketplace? Mods should nuke these useless threads.

There are a few prebuilt 1080tis with two cards. At decent price.

I did a lot of math a 2400 usd gaming rig earns 7 bucks profit a day if it has 2 1080tis.

It burns about 425 watts.  Or 10kwatts a day.

It makes money sense to buy it.

Which means 1080tis make sense for miners in the 900 dollar price area.

Which means card won’t be cheap for a while.

It'll be at least 6 months before we can see the GPU prices going down, and sometime in that next 6 months we should expect the new Nvidia cards. Also if you have any cards under warranty you may not be able to get a replacement, rather it'll be an upgrade due to the small amount of cards that are available.

I confirmed this with a guy that handles distribution for microcenter, as well as some comments left by one of the buying managers for massdrop.

Problem is the price drop will reflect the reduced effectiveness of the now "older" cards for miners.  For gamers all good but when the new cards come out these top of the line cards wont mine as good and the price should dip so its a game of cat and mouse with card prices for miners.  Best bet is to snipe retail prices now when new stock comes into stores near you.

Hi guys,

When you think the GPU prices will start to drop a little? mid summer? Just curious to know if we should keep buying those GPUs at current prices or wait for later.

Thanks.
