Not sure if you're Windows or Linux... but:

I could be wrong re: Windows not having something built in, I'll admit.
I am running a Windows rig. I find that the software for mining is more readily made to be compatible with it. And that program from APC is EXACTLY what I am looking for. I didn't know they came with the UPS. Thank you!

I am buying a UPS to support my rig just in case I lose power. I plan to mine 24/7 which means when I am not home, I will not be able to completely maintain the rig. Do you have experience with programs that support a graceful shutdown with loss of power? The situation I am planning for is the house immediately loses power and the rig shuts down in the middle of mining with all processes interrupted and possibly corrupted. I would like the following to happen:

1. Power loss
2. UPS kicks in and supports it for a few minutes
3. My rig detects the UPS supporting it through battery backup
4. My rig begins a shutdown procedure which gracefully shuts down all mining processes and turns of the PC.

Has this been supported before, and if so what program/script do you recommend?
