I just remembered about this auction and was quite annoyed that I forgot to bid. Now having seen the reserve I'm not too annoyed as I wouldn't have thought of bidding near that.
There was a time when this coin was worth somewhere around 1.2 BTC but demand for Lealana coins have decreased as the markeys have been flooded with them recently in comparison to Casascius coins which are in limited supply.

What is this 25 ltc coin worth? 0.5 / 0.7 btc or more?

I bought it from eBay a while ago for around £500. Litecoins were worth a bit more then so it's probably not fair to value it the same today, but I don't want to sell it for that very low end bid. Maybe I might sell this again next year after the mining reward halving. I certainly believe that did a lot to push the price of the Bitcoin up.

Sorry, the reserve price was SHA256("2.6728 Bitcoins MgXET5AV") (Which is roughly what I paid for it.)

Meh, kinda starting to hate these reserve prices on auctions, kinda eliminates the the "auction" out of it   Tongue

It sucks but it sucks more as the seller to lose out that much  Undecided

Yeah, but the seller could just set the starting price higher, i think when someone auctions something its the risk that they are taking, either they get lower or higher amount then predicted, thats kinda the fun of hosting auctions, but the reserve price thingy kinda eliminates that, the seller might aswell just put it in the goods section and ask people to make offers and if he sees an offer that is above he's reserve price he can just accept it.

Im for the goods section as well.  Post a price with a "willing to listen to offers".  It ties up funds that could be looking to use elsewhere.  I do agree its all in the sellers favor here.  They either dont sell it or at a minimum get what they wanted and maybe more.  Seems a bit ebayish just my thoughts on it.

Who did you buy this coin from? That is quite the premium for that coin.

So 23:45 your time is 6:45PM my time. That means the auction ends 3PM, my time. Got it! Thanks. Smiley

It's crazy. There are two different GMT zones online, one is -3 hours and the other is -4 hours. Don't know why.  Wink

Regards,
Christopher

That's due to the summer/winter time.

I bid 0.36

RarityBit,

Because the online time zones calculators have more than one GMT (etc) to choose from, can you tell me exactly what time it is now? (I'll use my set EST forum time to calculate the difference.)

Thanks,
Christopher

It's 23:45. Isn't there just a standard UK time?

I'm interested in this but have a few questions and terms first.
Do you have the COA for this and can you confirm that this was funded by the creator (Smoothie) and not anyone else?
I'd also require escrow for this transaction, preferably Monbux or OgNasty.
Let me know if that's ok with you and your answers to the above questions and I'll bid Smiley
Thanks!

It's not a user funded coin. I don't have the COA as I bought it slabbed from eBay. How do escrow services work? This is something I've never used before.

Wow the person who sold it to you didn't even pass on the COA?

bummers

That is the address of one of your coins though (Lbopu5x3r5HXgtAfdw1V29BWbMMHLTi9So)?

Sniping, no sniping.  Will make a difference how and when I bid thanks

I've never completed an auction here before. Do you think it's best not to allow sniping?

Personal preference really.  Sniping gets fun but if you add an extension (typically 15 minutes)  you might get a different turnout. If you do allow for sniping be specific on end time maybe even down to the second on forum time to eliminate a sketchy ending.  Either way good luck as im sure this will get a lot of attention.

I'll extend the auction if there are any sniping bids then.

I'm gonna have the unpopular opinion, but I do think allowing sniping means you could get a lower price in the end. You can argue that sniping can allow for a higher bid since the other bidders' bids aren't known, but I don't think so. I recommend doing some homework before deciding  Wink

This is for a Graded (ANACS MS 66) 1 troy ounce silver 25 Litecoin Lealana coin. The coin comes with a free wooden box designed to hold these slabbed coins. The coin is funded (it is not a buyer funded coin as I know these are not too popular) and the address is provided so you can check.

The bidding starts at 0.1 Bitcoins, the bidding moves up at least 0.001 Bitcoins after that and the auction closes on Wednesday evening GMT (UK time.) The reserve price is SHA256(price + " Bitcoins " + salt) = 0000014fc521feda304465cd931f68f4cc9878e48535e51eb1ffcdfd40ffafd9

I will ship the coin to the UK and abroad and will only accept cryptocoins as payment.

Here are some photos of the coins and its box:
