I've noticed that the difficulty has dropped a bit but I still feel that most people will simply keep mining anyway despite the higher utility bill costs and a low value BTC at the moment.I do agree that if more of the unprofitable miners just hang up the gloves for a bit,the difficulty will drop.I hope the difficulty starts to drop off faster soon. How long does it take for difficulty to change? How can we tell what the difficulty will be next?

Hi fellow  miners. You know, if we all cut our production by 1/5, the difficulty rating will decrease by 80%.
This has to be a great reason for collusion

Let's say you did were able to pull that off what would it accomplish?  Please tell me you realize you wouldn't get even once bit cent ahead doing that.

Stop trying to hijack my thread with your mumbo-jumbo!

You can all do that i'll keep mining and make the extra when you do Wink

That attitude just makes me want to create a miners union!

Whos with me comrades?

If you get enough people to join your union those of us left mining will be able to pull off a double spend !

You don't have to stop mining. Just switch over to one of the alternate chains for a while.

You're saying that if we cut out 20% of our hashing power... The difficulty wont decrease by 20%, but will decrease by 80%?

I believe it's a grammar error difficulty will decrease to 80% of it's current position
