Bitcoin or their own bitcoin blockchain be a solution, however implementing this with your average citizen is troublesome. Although I would find it worth the effort. They're going to go through tough times if (or rather, when) they go back to the Drachme anyway. But are they interested in a currency like bitcoin?

Greece has been doing bad for quite a while now. That country has seemed deeply corrupt to me for as long as I remember, and politicians seem to get away with doing bad things throughout the years.

I agree, Greece is a good target, if I had any idea how to target them, I would.

I will disagree with you about OWS though.  I am a free market Libertarian and I am involved, I am not the only one by any means.  I don't know why people insist on claiming it's only the socialists who think we have a financial problem here.  I think anyone who can do simple math should realize that what we are doing is not sustainable and support OWS, regardless of political ideology.

In your opinion are a lot OWS protesters receptive to the ideas of liberty?

You said, "I don't know why people insist on claiming it's only the socialists who think we have a financial problem here."

I reread what I thyped and don't see how you got from there to here. I kind of wonder if you don't understand the genesis of my statement as it relates to Socialsts and an anonymous currency. Socialists want 100% tax and Redistribtion (obviously a simpflication). That is not what bitcoin is about nor what it would mean.

But that said, I would agree that Socialsts think this is a financial problem (The 1% V 99%). LIbertarians understand this as really a problem of corruption. The banks are wealthy as they leverage the corrupt nature of our political financial system. (Heads the Banks Win, Tails we loose). All of this enabled through corrupt policital system whereby some dupliciouts scum bag gets elected.

Since socialsts don't understand this they view it as a failure of Capitalism. Anyone that thinks Capitalism has failed knows not what it means. We don't have capitalism.

I realize there are a lot of different people in the Occupy Wall Street movement, but if you realize what the problem truly is shouldn't you be protesting somewhere else, like say, the White House?

Okay here is  a "market" tailor made for the introduction of BitCoin.

Any Greek Bitcoiners out there? Someone should contact this "Mr. Mavridis" and start selling !!.

This is much better match for promoting Bitcoin. In reality the Occupy Wall street gang are Pro-Tax, Wealth Redistributionists who would fundamentally hate the idea of a open/free currency that can elude government oversite.

On the contrary a bunch of barter groups in a country who's financial system is soon to meltdown would more likely embrace it. And why bother managing these "TEM's" let the bitcoin community manage a "currency"
