The thing with the AMEX card, get a bank account with them aswell. Its free and it's high yield banking account "for normal world standards, not here at bitcoin lol its .90 or something like that". You can withdraw and deposit as much as you like, then transfer it to you card with no red flags. The max per month I think is 5,000.

I cannot open a new account with them.

Do you get a check from them with the unspent balance then?

There are many other prepaid cards:

Ones with no monthly charge and accept Moneypak include:

They unlocked the account, so I can spend my balance, and in 30 days I'll get a check.
I've spent my balance and have $0.17 left.

I'll get an Amex card.

Cant wait for Bitinstant's card.

univision has a great card.. As long as you don't violate their TOS, they are great. They only charge 10 bucks a month and have free cash withdrawals, etc. Its kind of unusual to pay a monthly fee, but if you take cash out more than a couple times a month, its worth it..

Yep, Mine got shut off too. They just said that there was suspicious activity..I looked back and I never violated one of their rules in the TOS. I don't know how they can stay in business. I guess if you only use the card for a short period of time, you are okay. but use it for a few months, they cut you off for no reason...

So, don't plan on using it for any length of time.. It caused me a lot of issues.. Couldn't pay for my hotel while away, etc.. just a pain the butt..

Today my GreenDot refillable prepaid card was shut off.

It was turned off because I was using it for business purposes.
apparently some advertising purchase triggered this, but they won't tell me what one.

I cannot open a new account with them.

Keep this in mind when using your green dot cards.
