Hello, and welcome to the forum! I've been around for a while and I have to say this is one of the friendliest and most well informed forum there is.
I hope you find whatever information you may be needing in the future.

I'm sure the high end miners would like it if all the small miners quit mining, so the difficuly would come down and they could get more bitcoins.

But for the security of the network, it's better to have as many miners possible - big and small - all over the world mining.

You are smart enough to know you won't get your money back for the two usb miners you bought, so that is the main thing.

So I think you are very welcome and encouraged to mine by the bitcoin community.

Hello! I am new to the world of Bitcoin and find it all very exciting. I have been doing some reading and researching and I must say a lot of the concept is a bit over my head. However I did decide to become a part of it, no matter how small in reality it really is. I purchased two USB ASICMiner Block Erupters (gasp) and have started mining for fun and to get a little hands on. I know I won't make my money back, but hey, it is about the experience after all, isn't it? Anyway I just want to introduce myself a bit and say why I am here. I am looking forward to learning more and seeing what all I can get my head around. Figured I would also throw a question out since it is my first post: Do any of you experienced, shall I say high end miners think people like me are hurting mining, helping or having little effect?

Thanks for reading.
