Welcome. Thanks for the background. Regulatory topics certainly come up a good deal (expect another wave when the revised NYDFS BitLicense proposal is announced), so I'm sure you'll have a valuable perspective.

Thanks for the response and look forward to finding a place among you and the forum.

It may make sense to give a little background to see where I may fall for community value.  I am in the financial industry however it is in the prepaid sector.  I have worked with several sponsor banks in both US and Canada to implement Programs for multiple businesses working with a lot of the heavy players in the prepaid space.  One area that appears to have gaps, especially in the US is that of AML/BSA as well as CIP or KYC, knowing your customer.  While not heavily condoned, liked, or wanted, it is certainly a requirement in today's current financial space.  My goal is simply to give back where I have the most value.  Certainly understanding the hurdles of crypto currencies like Bitcoin would be that place.  As a web developer in the days of ASP, I don't have much to offer as developer but certainly have an understanding of the OCC, CFBP, Bank Charters, and understanding the regulations around monies in general.

Thanks,

Woodson

Greetings All,

First, I wanted to thank the forum for giving new members the ability to immerse themselves in Bitcoin and crytocurrency.  I have spent a lot of time lurking in the shadows trying to understand what is Bitcoin, its technologies, and it community as a whole.  Job well done.

I'm not sure this is the correct forum for introductions however I wanted to finally say hello and thank you.  I look forward to future discussions about Bitcoin and its technical impacts.

Best,

Woodson
