I got on the Bitcoin Bandwagon during all the recent media Hype about it I think I first heard about Bitcoins on Leo's Show TWiT after that I started checking it out and was instantly fascinated by the concept even tho the coding and math aspects is above my head I love the idea. I'm kicking myself for not knowing about this sooner. Anyways I've been reading everything I can get my hands on in order to catch up and kinda become a local expert for my area (Alamogordo, NM).
So Any advice and tips and tricks would be helpful and appreciated! I've been following along with the dude from codinginmysleep as he seems to know a thing or two about bitcoins. Here's where I stand at the moment I'm interested in the mining aspect and using Bitcoins in my own business to receive payments for services and products offered.
I have the Bitcoin wallet setup and I'm a new member at the BTC Guild and I have cgminer running on my windows 7 computer. The computer has 8 gigs of ram and a AMD hexacore processor with a AMD Radeon hd 6000 series gpu. I've just started to mine today So naturally there are a lot of questions but my main one at the moment is since it's only using the GPU power to mine how do I utilize the hexacore CPU as well?
I don't presume to know anything at this point because even tho I'm reading up and learning how to use bitcoins and start mining i'm clueless when it comes to the finer details like the profitability of mining vs the cost to mine etc etc.
For instance when I joined BTC Guild you have the choice to join a team or create your own team so not knowing any better I went and created my own team (Team GEFNET) Was this a smart move is it better to be on a already established team vs creating a new one ?
Just some of the many questions to come from me. So with all that said I'll end this post (my first post of many to come here at BitcoinTalk) and Check out the rest of the site. Cheers Everyone and looking forward to being an active part of this community!
