I don't care to use my real name as you will see quite soon... I find my ability to build credibility within this community, based on who I actually am and what I am trying to do, will be a net plus for my movement. With that said, my name is Solomon Adekale and I am the Founder and C.E.BrO-grammer of Sollywood Inc. I started this company because I believe Information Technology when coupled with the right Vision and Mindset could produce wonders. My hope is through Sollywood I'll be able to make great tech products people will one day call wonders like Hollywood has made great films [minus the garbage].
And just in case you're wondering, YES and ABSOLUTELY. Sollywood is My Name + Hollywood. It was a nickname given to me during my days as an undergrad in Film school. I was the vibrant-crazy-kid-director trying to make Avatar 4 with no crew, no lights a shitty camera and After Effects... And we always got it done, hence Sollywood.
Now I've got other nicknames...

Simply put I'm a Man on a mission to disrupt all of Hollywood and Television...And the world. And I plan to do all of that with one key technology: Sollars and some Sense. Smart Money! That's what I call it. It's the disruptive advantage to the marketplace for content and content services I've been building called Sollywood TV. SAY WHAAAAA!?! Yup. It's the first open marketplace where every type of content creator no matter how BIG or small is welcomed to "Make $ense" out of Consumers. Student filmmakers all the way up to Hollywood Studios, Netflix, Sports whomever... You are all welcomed.
The catch is Content Creators MUST SELL AT THE RIGHT PRICE. Even if that price is 3 $ense.
Supply and Demand has finally found its way to Hollywood.
It rules on our platform and we make sure that is the case by completely controlling the economics of pricing and transactions within Sollywood TV... HENCE Sollars and Sense. The two technologies go hand in hand, together... #Makes$ense.
As a filmmaker I've been working on this EPIC idea for the last five years (that story's for another post). And during that time it has become my life's work to change Hollywood and the World with an alternative currency and payment system. I will do it... with Sollars and some Sense. And that conveniently brings up the elephant in the room...

Although we are not a direct competitor to BitCoin yet, I cannot predict the future. BitCoin and Sollars have two VERY different paths but nonetheless I believe in some way shape or form the two will become "rivals". Either in the spirit of brotherly love or fierce foes. Only time will tell. Right now BitCoin is much farther ahead in its development and community. Right now... With all that being said I greatly admire BitCoin. I really do. Its a fascinating piece of software developed out of a philosophy of Freedom and Trustlessness (sort of).
I believe hands down it has a special place in the "digital currency/commodity" space as Gold has it's special place in the fiat currency/commodity space. But thinking long-term, I do not believe it is the best route for MASS ADOPTION of a digital currency whose PRIMARY goal is the value AND exchange of goods, services, wealth and or commodities. I do not believe BitCoin will be the first to pass this test on a global scale, especially here in America and with Americans.
I know my fellow Americans....
(Quick Thought experiment)
Imagine asking EVERY SINGLE American to adopt a new currency they can barely understand created by an anonymous guy with a bad japanese anime name (someone had to say it) VS adopting a currency that, like their smart phones, is simply a smarter version of what they already have in their wallets and bank account... Oh and it's created by a guy who's got the same name as the wisest guy who ever lived... #No-Brainer
And the BitCoin Monopolist/Purists/Elitists (individuals who religiously believe BitCoin is the only way and superior to everything else because they say so) don't want to hear that... but its true. Step out of your bubble.
BitCoin has its place, but its not the best. There will be a better way than BitCoin for mass adoption. And it will Make $ense for everyone.
Oh and one more heretical belief...
I believe in a fiat style issuance of a currency no different than the Federal Reserve. That's right PRINT PRINT PRINT! But do it Smartly. That is the people in charge of "digitally printing" the money should be Individual Consumers. The way they print the money is by trading in their Inferiority (American Dollar/Euro/whatever other garbage paper money) and it literally produces Intelligence (Solomon's Sollar) at the point of trade... That is the main way our money is created and valued no volatility included.

And for those who believe Consumers will readily ditch a "smart" fiat style system that puts them in charge for a decentralized system based on solving complex mathematical equations only geeks on a plane with their super voltron computers can do... I guess we will have to see. It's still very early in the game.
As a real capitalist I believe the more competitive digital currencies in the market the better. Let consumers decide what they want to use. We should all be incentivizing them in our own ways. A return to the era of Free Banking is coming and Hayeks vision of DeNationalized currencies will have its day. But make no mistake... Many currencies can play in this space but there can only be one to rule them all. There can only be ONE WORLD CURRENCY... Place your bets wisely, said the tortoise. There's a long race to the finish line.
I've got a lot more to say and tell but that will be for another day and another post. There is a lot going on in Sollywood and it can all be described as the Wild Wild West phase of this venture. Trying to build a team of developers, trying to raise money in multiple ways, get out the word that Hollywood is being replaced and much much more. It's a hustle that I love and adore.
I would love to answer any questions anyone has. This is a massive project underway and feedback from this community of digital currency lovers would be awesome! Remember its not about who is first, its about who does it the best.
