I can't answer to the first question because I am not living in Poland for a long time but we have just talked about the second part and we came to the conclusion that there are still not so many people in the cryptocurrency niche taking into consideration that biggest Polish crypto forum has only a total of 28K users from 2010. Additionally here on Bitointalk, the Polish local section counts only 5 frequent users.
Największym polskim forum BTC jest forum.bitcoin.pl, ale nie ma tam jakiejś dużej aktywności 580k postów i 28k użytkowników od 2010 roku, gdzie nawet podrzędna giełda bitmarket.pl miała 60k użytkowników.

The largest Polish BTC forum is forum.bitcoin.pl, but there is no high activity, only 580k posts and 28k users since 2010, where even the second-rate exchange bitmarket.pl had 60k users.
I think it reflects the true adoption of cryptocurrencies in Poland.
