GRIN is quite good, even there are many holders there for a long time especially since GRIN is now able to make payments in the forum, but I have never traded GRIN and only coins that are better in my opinion to be held longer and GRIN is only for the needs where during forum payments .

Depends. If theymos is fun of grin then he saw potential with this coin. But still its an altcoin and we must know that there are still risk associated with it. Im not sure if this will be great cause its never been on the top markets ever since I heard of it. Can anyone here explain how grin works? Is it unique or same as other coin made for peer to peer like bitcoin. Maybe security wise, its strong thats why theymos like it.

Isn't it obvious though? I already posted the links above, you can surely read that thread and educate yourself.

@Febo - I agree, but there are proponents who think that it is a privacy coin.

@cryptoperkele - no problem, this is really a promising coin, you should look and read everything at the links that I have posted.

If you are not aware of, grin is now accepted for forum payments. If Theymos himself started to accept here in the community, what do you think  Smiley ?
...

BTC is the first thing that we want to invest in, think about BTC, it is out of the question. About ETH it is just my favorite coin and l believe that it will be really worthwhile for you. To tell the truth, l did not invest in GRIN, but l think it can be profitable in the future. If our forum accepts it as a payment system, no doubt this coin has potential. If you want to invest in Grin, maybe you should check this coin with a small amount. If it is really profitable, in the future you can invest with big amount.

Beam and Grin coins are very interesting because they bring something new to the anonymous cryptocurrencies. It is totally new technology that looks technically good but we didn't test it for longer tíme, so we do not know much about these coins, thats why it could be a risky investment.

I recently wanted to look at some privacy coins and looked at the typical mainstream ones, but then stumbled on GRIN. I decided to put a couple hundred into it and see what happens.

GRIN developers dont count GRIN as a privacy coin. More as a coin with a good scalability. You should definitely read and learn more about it.

Personally, i am really interested in the technology behind Grin. It's not just an investment opportunity.
Since Theymos announced that Grin is accepted as a paiement method to buy a copper membership, i started looking to Mimble Wimble protocol and discover a fascinating technology that may change the whole vision toward anonymity in the blockchain.
I advice you to take a look at Beam coin too, you may find another investment opportunity.  Wink

The privacy feature is the main reason why Grin was accepted for forum payments. Although from the thread, we can see how theymos excited over Grin and in my opinion, look like he wants to do more things about it than just 'forum payments'. I don't really think I could give you advice on buying or not buying it but I definitely put Grin on the long tern coin to hold. Meaning, you should not look for a short gain on it.

There's plenty of great coins to invest on right now. But I feel like finding that right ICO with potential and can lead you somewhere is the way to go (for me personally) this means that you can buy the coins for cheaper than the original market price. But investing on a ICO can be risky. why? Because there's a ton out there that just wan'ts your money. So beware. But if everything goes right you would be earning more than investing on BTC or other coins. It's a risky play that can lead you to both different directions.

It's not bad to invest if you believe in it in the long term. Maybe you could solidify your decision with checking their forum. They have different boards as well.

Hey Team,

So I have been slowly investing in my normal coins like BTC, ETH, and some altcoins, I recently wanted to look at some privacy coins and looked at the typical mainstream ones, but then stumbled on GRIN. I decided to put a couple hundred into it and see what happens.

Is anyone else invested in GRIN? Should I GTFO now because I missed how bad it is?

Let me know Cheesy

In my opinion invest in BTC and ETH where both have been tested and many people do it if you want to try  coin privacy and the other is a decision in your hands despite the many references and input that you have gotten.
