The rest doesn't seem to matter much, although I don't know why "lastshare" didn't change after the last jump? (Unless I missed it)

the number of shares is the number of shares that the solopool has accepted from our rated miners (valid shares).

The increasing number of "shares" is the number of rolling the dice. Every standalone roll/"share" can hit the lucky bestshare to get a block. Its only the factor luck, the total number of shares is not relevant. The bestshare in a run can come with the first or the last share - all iss possible, nothing is impossible

All the time under the link, we observe that the number of "shares" is increasing (every few seconds probably). I mean, does this number tell us anything or could it have an impact on the next jump? Or number of this "shares" have no meaning in practice?

each share is a single calculation and have no dependencies to each other. see it as a roling the dice, each roll is a single standalone task / try to get the number 6 on the dice, but we have now a dice with a little bit more numbers --> 27.967.152.532.435

and the stats shows only a dice number was is hogher as the last one and not each number...

so all is possible

Does the next jump depend on the amount of "shares" we have collected?

I mean, the longer the "shares" keep accumulating, the more likely it is that the next jump will be above the difficulty? Or it does not matter and the next jump even a few minutes after the previous one can be x20 or x30 bigger?

Expecting another jumb and that over the diff is very much possible or probable.

that was not the total runtime what i wrote, it was the runtime what we have left in the time as i wrote the posting.

So Run will last about 2 more hours?
I thought 30 Ph/s is for 24h and 20 Ph/s is for 36 hours?

Anyway, it seems that 20Ph/s for 24h is not enough to have chance to hit the block. Have you considered/make calculations about increasing the number of participants or increasing investment to buy more power for same time (24h)?

Also alles im Bereich von 1.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx bis zum Block, sehe ich als nahe an, denn das 20x ist ja nicht viel.
Das kein Block mehr kommt (deine Annahme) kann man so nicht sagen, letztendlich kann das letzte abgelieferte Share noch den Jackpot bedeuten.

Nahe dran? da fehlt ja noch fast das zwanzig Fache oder täusche ich mich da? Wie lange geht der Run noch, ich habe wirklich keinen Dunst wie lange die Runs immer gelaufen sind. Drücke uns zwar noch die Daumen aber gehe von keinem Block mehr aus in diesen Run.

I understand that as it grows that's good, but does that apply to each block individually or does it accumulate over a longer period of time and mean a higher probability?

Is there a "bestshares" number that has the highest probability of finding the block?

Or maybe none of the above and "bestshares" mean something completely different?

Ich habe früher Solche Runs immer alleine gemacht und nie was gewonnen. Als ich das im Forum mal angesprochen hatte, kamen die Teilnehmer zusammen die mitmachen. Also eigentlich muss ich an euch alle Danke sagen, denn ohne die Community hätte ich nie so viel investiert, weil mein Risikoeinsatz alleine viel zu gering wäre um realistisch einen Block zu lösen. Also sozusagen wir als "kleiner Solo Mining Pool" zusammen sieht das ganz anders aus und hat uns auch Recht gegeben und belohnt bis jetzt.

Glaub das "Problem" ist dass ihr bisher so viel Glück hattet und dadurch der erwartbare Zustand schon als Pech wahrgenommen wird.


Und klar die Entscheidung soll jeder selber treffen, aber am besten gut Informiert.
Aber gerade weil du es ja als kostenlosen Service anbietest gibt es ja keinen Grund es positiver darzustellen. Verdienst ja eh nichts dabei

Und ja gebe dir da gerne wieder recht, wenn man im Gewinnrausch ist vergisst man gerne das Risiko. Ich sehe es auch nur als Spaß und investiere / riskiere auch nur so viel wie ich bereit bin verlieren zu können, deshalb hab ich damals auch nicht beim 500 PHs MegaRun mitgemacht, das war für mein Wallet einfach zu viel. Aber das Risiko muss eben jeder selbst einschätzen, da kann weder ich noch du jeden an die Hand nehmen...
Und jeden Satz den ich schreibe (überlege ich zu 100% nicht immer ob das jemand falsch auffassen kann, das ist einfach unmöglich), also man vergebe mir wenn jemand was anderes versteht / rein interpretiert. Ein Sender / Empfänger Problem ist immer und überall vorhanden

Es ist alles nur Glück was wir hier machen und von dem hatten wir in der Vergangenheit wirklich reichlich, und geht hoffentlich auch so weiter...

Schau die 2 postings dazu mal im direkten Vergleich an. Du hast die Tendenz nur die glücklichen Umstände zu erwähnen.
Auch jetzt hörst du bei 300% auf. Es ist zu erwarten dass ~einer von 20 Blöcken mehr als 300% hat. Also immer noch weit weg von unwahrscheinlich.

Wenn ein Kumpel von dir den 6er im Lotto abräumt und dann in den nächsten Wochen erzählt boah ich hab so ein Pech, die letzten Wochen waren eine Durststrecke....
Da würdest du dich doch sicherlich fragen ob dessen Wahrnehmung durch seinen Gewinn nicht etwas verschoben ist, oder?

Ich glaube nicht dass du das absichtlich machst.
Fehlendes Verständnis der Statistik, selbst etwas im Gewinnrausch, gefallen in der Rolle als Spielleiter, keine Ahnung.
Als Legendary und regelmäßig DT1 solltest du aus meiner Sicht den Anspruch haben das realistischer darzustellen.
Gerade auch wenn so viele Newbies und Jr. Member als Teilnehmer dabei sind. Nur so als Denkanstoß, ist natürlich deine Sache.


Ich hab ja hier auch einen kleinen Miner als Heizung laufen, mache mir aber über den negativen Erwartungswert keine Illusionen.

Das es keine Garantie dafür gibt muss jeden klar sein, steht auch so in jedem Beitrag!

Aber ja, das man einen Block auch erst bei 100%, 200%, 300%, etc. oder mehr finden kann, da hast du natürlich recht. Alles möglich!
Aus der Sicht der beiden letzten Blöcke ist 52% durchaus eine Durststrecke, aber man kann natürlich nicht erwarten das es mit dem Glück immer so weiter geht wie bei den ersten beiden Blöcken, ist eben eine Glückssache einen Block recht früh also unter 100% zu finden. Aber wenn wir am Ball bleiben finden wir einen

Die 2 Blöcke waren glücklicherweise schnell gefunden. Langfristig (also bei vielen gefunden Blöcken) mittelt sich das auf 100%.
Es sind also auch Blöcke mit weit über 100% zu erwarten.

Schade? Vielleicht, aber für jemanden der bei den beiden dabei war, wäre es ökonomisch betrachtet durchaus eine Überlegung jetzt aufzuhören

War mir aber klar wenn es eine kleine Durststrecke gibt das der Andrang dann weniger wird.
Aber wir können ja nicht immer den Block bei unter 20% finden

Zur Info, wir haben die ersten beiden Blöcke bei einem Luck von 14% und 13% gefunden

Block 3 not found yet, luck at the moment --> 52,14%

Seit dem letzten Blockfund haben wir so viele Shares erzeugt das wir bei einem Luck von 52% liegen. Also immer noch im grünen Bereich.
Es kann durchaus mal vorkommen das wir den nächsten Block erst bei 100% oder auch bei 120% finden.
Oder wir finden ihn bei 53% im nächsten Run, das ist alles GLÜCK! Schade wäre nur wenn wir jetzt aufhören und aufgeben...

Ich kann nur eins sagen, wir finden einen 3. Block das ist keine Frage ob JA oder NEIN sondern nur eine Frage der Zeit!

I do agree nothing is guaranteed but this is the whole reason "luck" is calculated based on number of shares, to determine statistically based on your hashrate how lucky or unlucky you are relative to your hash power. Every form of gambling has odds and smart gamblers will always play and consider the odds and payout relative to the investment. The people that don't do that allow the house to take them for all they have.

More or less hashrate doesn't matter unless you increase duration as well. 100P for 1 day or 10P for 10 days or 1P for 100 days, your odds are mathematically the same. Still no guarantee in any of the cases, but odds are odds. When you flip a coin, your odds are 1 in 2 of landing on heads. If you get very lucky, you can land on heads 5 times in a row or get very unlucky and land on tails 5 times in a row but if you flip the coin 10000 times and check the odds again, statistically it will be close to 50:50. Not exactly 50:50, but close to it., The same applies here....

Everyone should see it as a fun game or gambling. Doing any math beyond that's not gonna give us any edge. Each ride is different and past drives or how long we are in doesn't improves our odds to our future runs. The only things we can do to improve our odds is the hashrate.

A small diminishing interest will take a U turn the moment we find a block.

Why do you feel our luck goes down? The more runs we make, the better our odds. As we submit more and more shares, statistically we get more and more likely to hit a block. It's still luck but our odds are much higher the longer we are in it...

Don't lose hope!

Scheinbar flacht das Interesse langsam ab, nachdem wir jetzt sehr viele Runden dabei sind und die Chancen immer geringer werden einen Block zu finden. Muss auch ehrlich eingestehen, ich habe mich hier auch schon etwas verzockt und mit dem Blockfund würde ich nur mehr mit einer 0 rauskommen 

das scheint ja mal zu dauern, bis alle Plätze belegt sind.

Hallo zusammen,

auf gehts zum nächsten Gruppenkauf von Hashingpower.

Es können ca. 15-18 User für je 0.01 BTC teilnehmen. Eine höhere Anzahl ist nicht sinnvoll, da ein möglicher Gewinn sonst viel zu klein wird.
Wenn kleiner Beträge als der Mindestbetrag im Einzelfall zugelassen werden, dann wird die Berechnung des Rewards anhand der eingebrachten BTC Menge berechnet.
Hashingpower wird auf Nicehash angemietet und auf den Solo Pool geschossen.
Der Status des Gruppenruns kann während der Laufzeit über den Live View Link beobachtet werden.
Hier sieht man dann auch was unsere Hashingpower ist und unser höchstes Share / Bestshare ist.

Sollte ein Block gefunden werden, wird der Reward an die Teilnehmer ausbezahlt.

Es haben schon wieder zwei Leute Coins gesendet obwohl sie keinen Platz hatten. Der Aufwand das zu verwalten steigt und steigt.

Um es im neuen Jahr etwas einfacher zu machen, habe ich mir überlegt die Reservierungen anders zu gestalten.
Im neuen Jahr gibt es nur noch Reservierungen für Leute die mindestens 10 Blockparty Runs im Vorfeld bezahlen.
Ist das Kontingent ausgeschöpft, wird der Platz automatisch frei und wer anderes kann den Platz nutzen.

Konkret beginnen wir mit der Blockparty Run 2022-1 und wenn jemand bei dem ersten mal 20x 0,01 BTC sendet ist er praktisch bis zur Blockparty Run 20 permanent dabei.
Steigt jemand erst bei der Blockparty Run 2022-7 ein und sendet 10x 0,01 BTC ist er eben bis zur Blockparty Run 17 mit dabei.
Das ganze vereinfacht mir dann die Organisation und Plätze sind nicht permanent von den gleichen belegt, außer es sendet gleich jemand 50x 0,01 BTC für die 50 geplanten Runs.

Sollten wir am Ende 2022 die Runs nicht schaffen, für die jemand bereits bezahlt hat, wird der Letzte Run in 2022 alle Beiträge benutzt um länger zu laufen.

let's go to the next group buy from Hashingpower.

As already requested by some forum users I put a new group buy for solo mining. Start at the earliest after the next diff reduction.

~15-18 users for each 0.01 BTC can participate. A higher number is not useful, otherwise a possible profit will be much too small.
If smaller amounts than the minimum amount are allowed in a single case, then the calculation of the rewards will be based on the amount of BTC deposited.
Hashingpower is rented on Nicehash and shot on the solo pool.

Here you can see what our hashingpower is and what our highest share / bestshare is.

If a block is found, the reward will be paid out to the participants.

To make it a little easier in the new year, I've decided to do the reservations differently.
In the new year there are only reservations for people who pay at least 10 block party runs in front.
If the quota is exhausted, the place will be automatically free and someone else can use the place.

Specifically, we start with the Blockparty Run 2022-1 and if someone sends 20x 0.01 BTC at the first time, he is practically permanent until the Blockparty Run 20.
If someone joins the Blockparty Run 2022-7 and sends 10x 0.01 BTC, he will be a member until Blockparty Run 17.
This simplifies the organization and places are not permanently taken by the same people, unless someone sends 50x 0.01 BTC for the 50 planned Runs.
