I believe what OP is trying to say in short is that having or Hodling bitcoin is not just enough, As the years go by, and bitcoin and crypto in general gets more elaborate, try not to hold on to old knowledge, but should try to stay updated and constantly develop and try to increase in your knowledge of bitcoin and the technology behind it.

It would be useless to know a lot about bitcoin when you are not knowledgeable about how are you going to secure your bitcoin. Knowing rhe basic knowledge about bitcoin is sufficient enough and pair with the knowledge on keeping it secured, safe and which wallet is better for storing your bitcoin. I guess you know some people on this forum who are asking for help to recover their funds due to not being knowledgeable on keeping it safe when you already know the basic which means you understand how bitcoin works. In short your point is do your own research which in my opinion have been discussed many times.
Understanding bitcoin is what gives you all what you need about bitcoin as it grows, The understanding you have concerning about bitcoin that's what bitcoin offers you back. Understanding will change the mentality of seeing bitcoin as money making machine. Get the understanding and grow.

Having a better knowledge first about bitcoin before going into investing bitcoin that can come with a positive result, that's what I mean. I think you didn't really get my point there.

This year is making bitcoin about 13th years and their are a lot of transformation and advancement about bitcoin throughout its 13th years of existence. Bitcoin is not about trading and investing but it is also about knowledge and understanding. Without having knowledge and understanding about it, even if the money is available to trade or invest it won't make any sense.
Yeah. The best way to be successful in every investment environment in the world is to have knowledge and understanding of the system but in cryptocurrency, patience is also needed.As far as bitcoin is concerned what matters first is to have understanding about about bitcoin to control it.
You cant control Bitcoin, Bitcoin is somehow a community-driven project but you can learn how to keep your holding safe. I believe, in all ramifications, what your comment is all about is for people to try and understand the intricacies of Bitcoin. Nice advice. But as nice as that is, I bet a lot of people who are into Bitcoin (even here) don't want to go into all that. All they want is the basic knowledge of how to control and secure whatever Bitcoin they've acquired. Truth be told, the workings of Bitcoin is a whole lot technical to the point that it's even confusing. I've heard a lot of people complain about that. Till date, yours truly do also get confused around certain aspects of it. And that's why I hardly visit certain boards here. The punchline for me, would be for people to buy and hodl though.
Thanks for your contribution, getting knowledge of bitcoin knowledge aspect is fine. What am talking about for those who are new in the bitcoin world should firstly try to grow in understanding before they can think of growing financially in bitcoin.

Somehow it is believed you have to teach newbies to learn and not think about money to be a good poster. Not to stray away from the topic of discussion, I think there is a confusion between Bitcoin and blockchain. You need all that knowledge to invest in bitcoin. I came into bitcoin late. The only thing I knew about bitcoin was “bitcoin is going to change the world of money someday” so I placed my bet on the future. I didn’t read books about how the blockchain works if I had it would have taken a longer time to buy cos I still be stuck in a library.

Like I earlier stated that growing in bitcoin is not all about money, but what comes first is getting the understanding first, most beginning thinks its just all about money. But knowledge comes first which growth begins with it.
