Of course works and will work until around 2020, unless radical changes take place. So do not worry and buy 1060 3G. I think this is the best Gtx fo miming at the moment

It's okay right now, but it will be unable to mine ethereum when DAG epoch gets #179.
It's estimated to happen in March 2018.

Everything is working. You'd be better off mining different coins than ETH, like Zcash or ZenCash with Nvidia cards.

ETH is out of question anyway because the DAG won't fit into 3GB of memory.

why i dont fit it is about 2.2 GB big!

If you havn´t bought it yet go for a 6GB or 1070 as already said. If you already own a 3GB 1060... no worries.. still working fine. Probably not in a few month but hey... there are other coins than ETH.. and will be... (Equihash is even better to mine right now..)

A 1060 3GB will work as of the moment but in a few months it will no longer do so.

There have been calculations as to when the 3GB variant will no longer work for ETH mining, just google it. If you're just planning on buying one now, DONT, just get a 6GB variant of the 1060. It will last longer.

Anybody got a GTX1060 3 gb version who can tell me if its working on nicehash 2.0 or on ethereum?

is the 3 gb to small so mine eth?

3 GB is enough, tho a 6 GB 1060 would give a bit more hash but gotta work with what you got haha Smiley
a resource i like for this is: https://investoon.com/tools/dag_size , you can find current DAG sizes there
Happy Hashing!
