Latest version of my guide to building and operating a mining rig is here,  How to Build a 6 Rig GPU Miner for Zcash and Ethereum with Nvidia GTX 1070 and EthosDistro posted Oct 1, 2017 on Steemit.

Hi
I'm trying to find current info on what's the speed difference when mining on each of these cards. All info I find is old, before the huge improvements on mining things like skein. Anyone knows what's the speed and best currency for each nowadays? Is it worth to upgrade and at what point on price difference between a card or the next level?

Thanks

I stopped mining zec after upgrading my rig due to instability. I have 4x gtx 1070 and two new gtx 1080. Zec did ok on the 4 1070 but it took me a few dasy to make a zec when it was still $30. I started mining lbry and I'm not going to say how much I've made but the ROI is close. I can't comment for etherium, I mined it for a day when I first started.

If you calculate based on nicehash's calculator (http://nicehash.com/?p=calc), the 1080ti has the most profitable hash/power-consumption ratio.
The only downside is that its pricey and may require a bigger PSU if you will be using multiple cards.

use this it's the best one http://yiimp.ccminer.org/bench, almost all algo and gpu from nvidia are there, there is a nice comparison, but the usually the 1080 is 30% fsster than a 1070 and the 1080ti is 30% faster than a 1080

it's not correct, becaue 1080 and 1080ti have another ddr5x memory, which is not too effetive on algos with memory usage.
but when core is used 1080ti can make 2x1070.
at the moment 1070 is more universal gpu on all algos.

For whattomine.com there is already number for the 1070, you click on it and enter the number of card. If you want to know the 1080 number, just enter 1.3 in the number of 1070. I'm not sure for the 1080ti, probably 1.4 -1.5

Phil has very good threads.  If you peruse through, you'll see his quoted rates.  Here is an example.

I've checked that site but the first one ask for the performance of your card (which I don't have the 3 cards and I don't know the performance). The second site does have basic stats on the cards (not very accurate I must say) but it lacks one of the most profitable coins: Skein
And I don't know how much one over the other would make.
