This card is on a rig where electricity is free, so it's not tuned for efficiency:

[Card]: 1x Gigabyte GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD REV2.0
[TDP]: 105%
[Core]: +54 (2012)
[Memory]: +504
[Fan speed]: 50%

I could go to around 4,1 sol/w with lower TDP but I aim more at the maximizing the sols than energy efficiency - kind of looking for the sweet spot in the middle.

Pretty easy you need to flash the card...because gigabyte are so bad with V2.0....

this thread doesn't make sense to me lol, why mining ETH with a 1070? that is a waste better to mine equihash nvidia is very good on equihash or other algo like skein do a better comparison on those algo instead

It's coz it can mine with better power efficiency.  They can do 30 Mh/s @ 60% power.

Here's mine.  32.3 MH/s EVGA Gtx 1070 SC (Micron)

core: +0
mem: + 750
power: 65%

cool micron +750. i was not able with my asus dual oc 1070 gpus get more that +600 .

For some reason the Micron's didn't like the OC in 6xx range during mining.  Try 750 on yours if it works for you.  Btw None of the settings above +600 are good for 2D/3D loads, even normal web browsing.  Only good during mining.

So I finally managed to find some good and stable settings for my 1070 GPU. Here are the details:

[Card]:1x PNY GeForce GTX 1070 XLR8 OC GAMING 8GB
[TDP]: 70%
[Core]: 0
[Memory]: +615
[Fan speed]: 60%
[Temp.]: 48-52C
[Whole system]: don't know, I guess around 140-150.
[Mining performance]: 31.2mh/s on Ethereum
[Miner]: Claymore 9.7 (Windows 10 65 bit)

Thanks! I used these settings and now getting 31.1 consistently..

I'm a mining newb. I just got my rig working. Can someone tell me what [TDP] stands for?  thanks!

What they mentioned here is power limit I think. Actually TDP is varied among GPUs, but it mostly stand for maximum power draw.

Btw, my setting and performances:

Hi,

I got a 8 x GTX 1070 rig but i feel is not fully getting good peformance for EBWF.
So need some help on OC for my cards...

Below are my current setting:-

[Card]:Zotac GTX 1070 Mini 8Gb
[TDP]: 80%
[Core]: +125
[Memory]: +500
[Fan speed]: 62% to 69%
[Temp.]: 63C to 69C
[Whole system]: 1150w
[Mining performance]: 30.5 mh/s on Ethereum and 380 - 415 solns
[Miner]: Nicehash Miner Legacy (using EBWF & Claymore)

I check all VRAM are Micron.

i have 3 x 1070

EVGA
ASUS
AORUS

all 3 does ~31.8 @ 85% power +650 memory clock Eth hash only
~29.5 dual mining decred with claymore at -dcri 50

To be precisely the EVGA does a tiny more than other 2 but since it has only 1 fan it runs 12º hotter

Does anyone know any OC settings for best performances of my PNY GeForce GTX 1070 XLR8 OC GAMING 8GB?

OC depends very on your specific card.

For ETH i would put Core Clock down by 200 or 250, Memory Clock up in 50 Steps starting with +200 (with my card i can go easy do +500).
TDP i would limit that Voltage is ~ 0.950 - that keeps also temperature of the card lower.
For ZEC and other similar currencies go with Core Clock in 25 Steps up (mine runs at +100) and for Memory Clock the same. TDP again that voltage runs ~ 0.950.

I get on ETH 29.5 MH/s with 55% TDP, -250 Core Clock and +500 Memory Clock (but the MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8g has high TDP  and high basic values for Core and Memory already)
For ZEC i get 470 MH/s with 65% TDP, +100 Core Clock and +500 Memory Clock.

Well its the same program i'm using maybe my psu's are garbage.

That 2 x 8 pin it's a pain in the ass, because of that i'm using 3 psu's for a 7x rig, I know its overkill but its just for a while...

I'm using an old hx 750w corsair hard to say if is or if isn't. The card / system is very stable, actually, too stable, AMD cards are never stable like this.

Afterburner. Well, there is no trick here, maybe is the silicon, the only thing I hate on this card is that it requires 2 x 8 power pin to function. I tried using only 1 x 8 pin but it would not function, windows 10 64x issued code 43. You need to have a PSU with many 8 pins power cables. By the way, the 93 watts value is static at HWiNFO64, I did not test the power at wall yet, I will post today or tomorrow.

check out the Cooler Master v1200 - it has 12 x 6+2 pin connectors so you can cover 6 GPU's with 8+8.

Yeah, it has to be a very few selected psu's to handle these cards. I myself think, the V1200 is overkill for 6 of these. I mean if each card pulls around 110w, total power will be around 750w. So in this case very few 1000w come with 12 or more, need to have spare cables. The idea is, minimum 6 pci-e cables with 2 x 8 pin, most 1000w brands only include 4 pci-e cables with 2 x 8 pin and 2 more single 8 pin cable..

I can't reduce the power to less than 93 watts, so it means this is it. I increased the memory to the max 1000 and that resulted an amazing crash, so I then reduced the memory at intervals of -10 and it kept crashing, at memory +920 it worked and so far has been stable for few hours, memory at +777 for 24/7 should be okay. Maximum I got at +920 was ETH 31.9 ~ 32.2 mh/s.

It was funny, first time I tested my 1070 gaming card on eth, now back to gaming and only gaming.
Which program are you using to configure your EVGA 1070?

I have the same product and those values are amazing, specially the TDP.

[Miner]: Claymore 9.5

I can't reduce the power to less than 93 watts, so it means this is it. I increased the memory to the max 1000 and that resulted an amazing crash, so I then reduced the memory at intervals of -10 and it kept crashing, at memory +920 it worked and so far has been stable for few hours, memory at +777 for 24/7 should be okay. Maximum I got at +920 was ETH 31.9 ~ 32.2 mh/s.

[Card]: EVGA 1070 https://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-6276-KR: Test 2
[TDP]: 50%, 93 watts
[Core]: 0
[Memory]: +920
[Fan speed]: 70%
[Temp.]: 45C
[Mining performance]: 32.2 ETH only mining mode
[Miner]: Claymore 9.5

It was funny, first time I tested my 1070 gaming card on eth, now back to gaming and only gaming.
Which program are you using to configure your EVGA 1070?

I have the same product and those values are amazing, specially the TDP.

Hi, I just want to create this topic specifically for GTX 1070 owners.

What is your hashrate? What settings are you using? TDP?

I will start with mine system:

[Card]: 1x Gigabyte GeForce® GTX 1070 WINDFORCE 8G
[TDP]: 80%
[Core]: +180
[Memory]: +280
[Fan speed]: 56%
[Temp.]: 56C
[Whole system]: 180W
[Mining performance]: 460-470 sol/s zcash
[Miner]: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner 0.3.4b

Share your settings! We all together can find the best settings! Cheesy
