Like I see there are lot of contest around the community and this makes it very good, at least this will increase the activity of everyone here, and surely it will attracts more people to visit and participates on them.
I have never seen this type of contest before, and if I am not mistakenly you are the first person to host merits guessing contest over here in this forum. Good Luck to all the applicants.
Have been away for the past few days sorting out physical activities, as i only get engage over here when i have spare time to read and comments on posts around the forum.

This is really a good initiative, and I'm so happy that is being hosted in Naija local board. As a proud Naija guy that appreciate the growth of the local board, and anything that will bring the members of this board together. I will be supporting the contest with $10. I will communicate with op before the end of the contest to redeem my pledge. I know the $10 is small, but hopefully next year it will be bigger. Congratulations in advance to the deserving winner.
This is a good initiative in the spirit of love. But the moderation is what I think needs to be replanned. You can give a submission period of 4 days or one week. Then after that everyone will wait for 25th for the results to be drawn. This will help in free and fair voting.

Great initiative I must say, it is not always about posting and commenting on people’s posts in the forum only, but having some entertaining contests like this makes the forum more enjoyable to all.
From my observation of the rules of the contest, it is going to be a very tough one to win, guessing three correct answers won’t be that easy, but it’s all fun when it gets not too easy to win.

Maybe the OP has an alternative plan if no winner emerges. He can consider the user that gets close to the prediction, OP am i speaking your mind? because someone must win that $50. There must be a winner whichever way it is after all it is for fun.
This is the second Christmas I am witnessing since I joined the forum, and I must say this year Christmas is totally different from the first Christmas I witnessed because a lot of contests have been introduced in our local board by different members, which will allow us to have fun in our local board.
Yeah, it's a welcome development since the Local Board is growing rapidly. These contests is gonno draw the attention of more local board members to be very active and contributive is making the local board bigger and better for everyone.

You are very funny anyway because i don't know someone who hasn't win a prize and yet thinking of what he would used the money to do, okay what after your plans and the winning didn't come to you? @promise444c5 Thanks for your suggestions, I have made an adjustment. Meaning everyone has only from now till 15th January to make their guess and that is the deadline, then on 24th and 25th is for them to submit their screenshots on the thread quoting their entries.
I think this is fine now instead of leaving the contest open till 24th and then screenshots 25th, it would make no sense for that.

Looking at this challenge there is a high probability that no one will win the challenge, or everyone will win it if the rules are not changed.
Anybody could wait till the 25th of next month and find a way to send the last merit to one of the members listed above with a totally different account used in applying and then submit their application. There are several ways this challenge can be manipulated.

Wow another game is here again on 9ja local board, I applaud you @SmartGold01 for the initiative you've brought here but looking at this game it looks like no one may be able to win game. Lets just try our best since its just a fun game. But my question is that if no one wins the game what will be the reward for participating, because atleast there should be a reward even if there is no winner so that next time people can turn up more.
The reason for this long is to have possible winner, if is short then it wouldn't be that fun. The fun part of it is the long it's taking so we can see what would make us laughing. However, it's meant for next year celebration as this months to next months 24th will be game moment instead of just having it so short.
You can still make the time long for us to make merit guesses. Promise444c5 has already posted what I meant, for more clarity. If people can make guesses up to January 24th of January and the merit guesses will not last more than 25th of January, I think the time is very short. At least you can let there be a week or two weeks differences. This is my opinion. Sug: it's not easy to get accurate result why not just set nearest guess plus you need to consider more winner than just one but if you feel that's what you want to use then it's your rule
Hahaha you are right actually, I think OP needs to adjust a lot of things in this contest. What I was even thinking is that OP would have given a duration of time that the entries would last (like a week before the contest ends) then anyone that his guesses corresponds on the last day will be the winner because if it is left open till the last day it means that someone can actually wait till the die minutes before dropping their predictions. Whomever that predicted correctly will have to receive 50$. Now instead of that, you will only have to guess people's merits earnings to know how many merits they will end up having by that time, and if any applicants guess it correctly then that person wins. I applaud you for your initiative for creating this thread but I have observation, since you made mentioned of reputable members of the forum in your list, yo why didn't you move this thread to reputation section or meta section, I thought that you would have mentioned all the local reputable members because here is a local section.
Secondly, what will be the benefits of the people who earn highest merit, the answer is nothing, so my brother, for my personal suggestion this thread is not supposed to be created in local board since its not all made of call members.

This year celebration is massive as we already have about 3 contest on the Nigerian board (local).
I think the contest will be interesting as it's not like a Bitcoin predictions when you predict bitcoin to reach a certain amount and it begins to dip or increase excessively. Predicting merits will be tougher but I believe the luckiest person will go home with the price.

You can only pick minimum of 3 persons from the list above, and guess what their merits will end before 24th of January, entry closing on 15th January. After which take a screenshot of it and quote with your application on 25th January. Do not edit your submission after your entry. You can only quote while posting your screenshots.
Whomever that guess correctly will received $50 +10$ by
Justbillywitt ($60). Note: Only one lucky winner will be selected!

For case of two people picking same users and they both have same results then the fund will be shared among the two winners, all 3 must not be correct if one person enter among the three then you win (1,2 or 3). But you must not send merits to any of these users listed if you are participating this contest.
