If still your decision is pending, then my advice starts from today. Marketcap doesn't dump more than 1.8 trillion. We all think we're new about crypto knowledge. You should start with top volume altcoins. Definitely check the last 3 months history, which time must be in a dump situation. Top altcoins will pump just hold your position to take the opportunity.

In my opinion to trade altcoins that have good potential should monitor the market situation first and see the value of altcoins that have market popularity, it is better to trade altcoins you can monitor the CoinMarketCap site, this site makes it easy for new users to see which coins have potential and the site is updated, after monitoring the CoinMarketCap site you can trade on Binance Exchange, Thanks.
Good advice, we should pay attention to the details of the coins on coinmarketcap to facilitate research of coins that will be recommended for trading during market corrections, now is an opportunity to buy top coins because market predictions will increase at the end of the year.

The entire coin is currently undergoing a correction, you can choose whichever you like when you research altcoins. If you suggest SOL is a great option for the future. But you should try to do your own research to be sure that this project is a potential project in the future.

Knowledge is needed if you want to invest, for now there are many sites that we can find to find out more about existing coins, so that we get information about the coins we want to invest, so that the investments we make are truly reliable and able to generate margins. which is good, there are a few coins according to my analysis, but these are my views and studies. ADA, Polygon and Metik, these three coins have a good future in the next year, if you look at market conditions and trends for the three coins.

Global projects are not always well known; nevertheless, periodic projects, such as relatively brief, medium, and long, are commonly known.

To avoid bogus gangs, one must also exercise extreme caution. Sometimes, It's a difficult undertaking to recognize genuine blockchain technology. kudos to crypo Cool

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step
When it comes to investing in crypto currency we advice you do your own research. I can only give you a confirmation on your own discovery. My reason is that crypto investment is very volatile and has very high risk. No body will like to be blamed if  project fails along the line so do your research and bring up your findings then we can brain storm on the various projects to decide which is worth the risk
There are many reasons why we encourage people to do their own research when it comes to investing but one of the most obvious is that you cannot really trust what you read online, is very easy for a bunch of people to try to tell you that a coin is really good and then you invest in it and then you find out that it was a scam, at that point there is nothing you can do to recover your coins and you are going to be very bitter about the fact that you followed their advice and now you lost your money.

First of all, you should be very careful in a market like this. Not all of the coins in the market are credible. As you are a newbie, I would advise you to go for top altcoins like Ethereum and BNB. You can do a detailed research about Solana also. It is one of the promising projects in the market. You wouldn't want to miss a great opportunity. And the most important thing you should do always is to do a comprehensive research about a project before investing into it.

Everything relies upon what kind of member you are, and where you can feel good. At the point when you discover the coin are searching for, you should twofold check with project site. Ensure you don't visit counterfeit site and purchase counterfeit coin or token from them. Whenever you have made your own viewpoint then you can visit the web and see what others are saying. While you do that return to the outline and recognize backing and opposition levels where the greater part of the exchanging happens.

To trade in ALT coins one needs to make a thorough research about that particular cryptocurrency or currencies. Today all the information is available on the internet and many cryptocurrencies have dedicated websites for people to get information about their coin and the projects they have. Go through their white paper and check all the related information about their blockchain. Even if you are just planning to trade, getting all the related information is important because you would want to put your money on a coin or coins that make you good money.

Yes, all information must be collected completely if someone wants to invest, many sites, the web provide that information for us to learn, so that before we start investing we already have good knowledge and patterns in investing, if we can't collect this, then it's a very big opportunity the investment that we make will be problematic in the future, even to minimize the risk is quite difficult if there is no pattern that we do.

You can see it on CoinMarketCap, before choosing the Altcoin you want to trade, you need to look at the volume of the coin and ensure stability in the market movement. You should also learn knowledge of market charts so that your decisions and targets can be achieved well. You should also choose coins that have proven liquidity, such as some potential altcoins that rank in the top 20 on CoinMarketCap.

ADA, CAKE and TRON coins are coins that have good potential in the future, with the development they are currently doing, market conditions look normal and provide good potential for movement, I suggest you to study these three coins, if you have the desire to investing in the future, many analysts believe these three coins will have a good impact in the future, rather than buying another coin that is not certain to have a good impact and does not guarantee a price increase.

Consider top-50 coins from coinmarketcap list. Check those projects who exist at least for 2 years and be sure that they will live further. But check the charts also. These coins should be pumped from time to time.

check coinmarketcap see top 10 positions. there you can see the recommended types of altcoins. choose according to your price and ability. trade carefully, I think this is the best step than you feel confused about choosing a coin
Yes that's good advice but again before choosing a coin we need to do our own research and analysis,
I think it's still important so that we can make the right decision,
what is clear is that not all coins can provide benefits and we must be really smart in choosing them

Now there are a lot of altcoins and it is not so easy to understand which altcoin will bring profit and will exist in the future, so you need to study each altcoin very carefully in order to understand whether it is worth investing in it or not, and in general, a proven option is trading with top altcoins like ethereum, bnb, litecoin, dogecoin and other top altcoins, because top altcoins have been on the cryptocurrency market already very long time and they will not go anywhere in the future.

Find the names and do an extensive research and trust your judgment. BTW, Stakenet XSN is one altcoin worthy of an investment I must say.

- Undervalued but has high potential to rise with the upcoming launch of their beta Stakenet DEX.
- A project with real utility.
- Not a buy-product of hype or meme.
- Continuous development since 2018.
- Built by a wonderful team of professionals.
- Active discord/twitter community.

Please check it out.

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step
there are so many potential altcoins today that are worth trading. You only need to look at CoinMarketCap which is currently ranked 20 and above, you only need to check Altcoins in terms of community, smart contract development and altcoin utility.
If your intention is to trade then that is fine you could even grab some coins outside the top 20 and inside the top 100 to trade, but only do so if you have a very solid exit strategy and you can follow it to the letter, as those coins can move incredibly quickly and there is nothing worst than to trade the coin and then the coin begins to go down and instead of selling it and accept a small loss you prefer to keep holding and then the losses that could be small become massive.

Education is very important when it comes to trading and the way it helps you from getting into this is to spend time doing searches. I don't recommend you to rely on others (like signal groups) but to make it by your own. Because the more you are engaged into the market the more you've gained knowledge.

To tell you that, you can't find an easy way to make your plan succeed, it needs hard work and persistence. Not all gain success in trading is that because that all of them had tried to work it so well. I'm afraid if that will happen to you, so I would say that you need to have enough  time to further enhance your knowledge and skills.

A plan is a must when you're investing with your hard earned money. You just don't go with the flow and whatever they say, they're going to give you tips of what you must buy. I've done that before and listened to random people that shilled their tokens and in the end, I was stuck with a loss and that's why it's important to still rely on yourself and you do your own research and look for better guides not just with random tips that you're reading on different platforms.

For sure, you are not the only one who experienced that. There are more stories about being new
and randomly following those tips from social media or some influencers who self claimed that know the business well.

There are many pump groups who'll provide free tips, and by monitoring the actions from the exchange
you'll be convince but when you start following you will realize that it's more on losing your money.

Experienced will start opening your mind and lead you to plan ahead before dealing with any trades.

If you want to learn how to trade atlcoin, you should learn how to read charts and understand upload mechanism, learn about ATH, ACD, DIP prices and a lot of trading skills you need to learn and especially about emotions you should Learn to be patient and master your emotions.
The ability to choose assets is the main thing that a trader must-have.
the concept is simple, buy, trade, and sell profit.
in practice, it is not that easy. but to get more insightful knowledge must also be added with direct trading experience in the market. some exchanges have a demo feature that can be used. and it really helps us to gain experience in trading.

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step

Many have given all the necessary advice but here is another thing you should put in mind.
Altcoins are difficult to trade because of high volatility they possess for long period of time, it's always difficult to hold supports and resistances unlike the Bitcoin and other high level coin on market cap.
Though, you can choose to scalp them especially when they are fundamentally bullish, it's so profitable to easily roll in and out of the market but be cautious of that as well.
Avoid shitcoins, they get pump hard but the reverse will send you bad image of trading, you wouldn't want to try them. Gold luck.

Tip: Don't forget reward/risk ratio, it's very essential in every trade.

Expect the unexpected, you may never know the future.I can advise you to be vigilant, research the coin you want to invest in. and choose your style for trading either short term or long term
short term:
*fast winning/ fast losses
*bigger risk with fast rewards proportionate of bigger investments
*doesnt take time as it is instant trading on the spot

long term:
*takes patience
*needs resilience of will to avoid FUD
*takes time

I hope it helps, It is only based on my experience

Your guide is going to be your inner self. Your knowledge of the market will guide you as you go through different altcoins in the market. It's going to be your thing as you invest in altcoins. You're asking things like everyone else because it's hard to know what coins will be existing for years. But you already have a hint and what are those will be because they're at the top but not all of those at the top will retain their position in the upcoming years.

As a beginner, it's really hard to pick coins to invest your money, it's true that the right guide is your own self.
You need to take down all the notes in properly sorting projects that have real case usages, coins that mostly invested
by people who believes that the development of the project will bring success.

Proper sets of plan as you go deeper into this industry, chances that knowledge will develop inside you and good
anticipation will rely on the instinct that you learn, coming from experiences that you'll going to have during your stay.

there are several channels, websites and materials to read to learn how to trade. don't just trade if you don't understand the process. else, you can be a long term trader. buy a token and allow it to rest in your wallet. leave it for a very long time. you will never regret it. please do not invest in new projects with little or no prospect. try invest in projects with future. already developed projects. even if you don't want to trade, invest your funds. it will go a long way.

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step

If you are wondering about tokens that are popular now and might be successful in mid-term,I would rather recommend tokens of NFT-projects and games. Such as EGGs, Axie, PVU, BOT (just my list). I think that it is quite a good strategy to invest in trends, as when something is in hype, people go there and bring their capitals, as a result big rises.
And I will disagree with this notion, people think that if they invest in projects that are being hyped up then they can make money but this is the fastest way to lose it, you are depending on the bubble to keep going while you are investing in the coin very late, this is simply bad, at some point this tactic is going to catch up with you and you are going to lose your capital, especially since you are recommending this tactic to someone that does not know anything about the market.

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step
Altcoins are a bit more volatile, it is really not advised to start with altcoins directly, it should be always btc-usd pair when you are first starting, otherwise you will be burned out very quickly and there isn't much to do after that. I personally started with btc myself and I did a decent return from my investment before I moved to ETH and that was a great decision as well, then I just spread my profits to many different coins.

Trading an altcoin starts with knowing the history of it, why it moved up that one time, why it crashed the other time, not just charts but also knowing what happened to make that chart look like that, it would be a great help. After that you can use what you learned from bitcoin trading and the history of the coin into trading it for profit.

If you want to become a successful trader you should study indicators and make up your own strategy. Also try to investigate first of all the general situation (Bitcoin's movements and current trends), and then project themselves (docs, ideas, functions, team).
You had better look at coinmarketcap table top-100 first, maybe you will find something interesting for you there.

We can say for sure that mainstream currencies will exist and have a future. But you shouldn't invest everything only in them. First of all, it is not very profitable, because they already have big market caps and it is difficult for them to increase significantly. So try to diversify and invest about 10% of your capital in different risky but popular and promising altcoins. I would name Tezos, Vechain, Cosmos, Cardano, Polkadot, Solana.

I understand your enthusiasm as this market is bound to change the world and you want to be part of it, however you are not ready to trade altcoins at all, begin your journey with bitcoin and only once you have proven to yourself that you can obtain profits consistently then you can move to altcoins, if you try to run before you know how to walk you are going to fall down and lose so much of your capital that it will be impossible for you to ever recover.

Not those  showings references but somethings after all  there's no good results after all..  Be smart enough and always focus to the project where you can really obtained good return after all because that's the most important.. You are actually trying to tell us that you want to invest in altcoins that will not end up being a scam which I think is a very good idea. It is high time people start to invest in cryptocurrency to get a better reward especially if the coin is a good coin.

My advice for you is to make research online on good coins that are already in a good exchange that have a good possibility of giving you a good reward. You can always go for coin like bnb, Solena, Matic token, Ethereum and other good coins. There is risk attached when investing in cryptocurrency, just try as much to measure your risks before buying any coin then you can spot trade it which is not that risky like future trading.

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step
I just want to give you one friendly advice as a member of the forum just don't go for altcoins at all as many of them available in the market are not going to progress at all and your funds and security are at stake. If you want to invest and don't have any knowledge to identify a scam project or shitcoin then don't go for them and invest in Bitcoin only and you will get good returns. You might have to wait for some time and handle some panic sell off during all these years but after it you will not regret.

The amount you want to invest in altcoins could be diversified to bitcoin as it's not necessary to stack one full bitcoin and you could stacks satoshis also.

For instance at this time if you want to invest in bitcoin at approximately $48k you would get :

$100 -  0.00208BTC
$200 - 0.00416BTC
$300 -  0.00525BTC
 and so on

If you make past comparison you would get idea that bitcoin has given more than 300% annual growth to holders and have gone up by reaching ATL of $3k in 2017 and now still trading above $47k at this time.It has survived many dips and crash situation and no other altcoin is capable of that.Your $100 or even low investment at this time could make your networth enough by Just holding your coins safe in some hardware wallet like Ledger Nano S or Trezor when prices will be above $100k your profits would be 3x so just think wisely.

Before you can begin trading altcoins, you need to buy Bitcoin or a stable coin
Transfer Your Money To An Exchange which is very reliable in terms of security and trust.
Shortlist Your Altcoins. Ensure you do proper research on the altcoins you wish to trade.
Invest wisely .Monitor Your Gains.Do not be greedy ,there is always opportunity in the market

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step
The basic way to know before trading is to understand cryptocurrency itself.
Because you are new enough in this crypto world, I will not recommend you to trade new altcoins.
I will prefer to choose top coins that commonly have had good fundamentals.
You can check them on the COinMarketCap pages
Trading altcoins is very risky and you must know the risks. Not only learning what altcoins to trade, but also some other things to consider when going to trade likely the management of your funds, emotion, and also risks. Sometimes, learning by doing is working enough, but at least, you have been learning much about the basic crypto and trading itself. I will also not suggest you to trade hype altcoins because this has higher risks.

And if you want to trade in some exchanges, ensure that you use the reputable, trusted, and also middle-top exchanges that are available in your country.
You can see here as @Masulum gave:
If you are looking for an exchange, you can choose one of the several exchanges listed on this page. However, keep in mind, exchange wallets are not for long-term holding of tokens/coins, if you want to hold them, please store them in your own wallet.

You can also check on Google with the keywords and you will get such information such as:
- How to trade in Binance
- How to trade in Huobi
and other exchanges

And one to note, don't buy the hype coins if you are new to this because it is very risky.
Start with a small capital at first to get the experience at first.

IMHO, ALTs are much harder to figure out than BTC, or ETH (and yes, I am aware that ETH is an ALT, but it's kind of a different thing). I am guessing the best approach would be to invest into something you really believe in and you understand what the project it about. That way you will have a better understanding of how best to trade it.

Op their is many alternative coins you can trade with, at first i will like you to start up with those once you are acquainted with first, i think ethereum, litecoin, BNB, Doge are well known alternative coins which someone can trade with, because it's encouraging to trade with a coin that have potential volatile irrespective the situation of the market rotation it will still have ground of potentiality, because going into exchanges to look coin to trade with when you don't have basic ideas of the coin it can lead to frustration or lost.

The majority of the altcoins now in the market are not potentials, that is why you will noticed and read here in the forum or
even in the other platforms that trade with extreme caution. Because most of them(altcoins) are just a piece of shit.
That is why you to make your own research before investing unto it. Just trade what you can afford lose in.

You're not trading then what you're interested in is investing, judging from your choice of words. Trading are mostly short term based and the altcoins, they give some impressive profit if you can get your trades right. Knowing when a supposedly trend is about getting some attention and seizing that opportunity to place some trades can give you some nice profits.

You don't need to hold onto the coins for years as that'll be Investing and when it comes to investing in cryptocurency, research has proven you'll be better off just buying Bitcoin and hold. Before you wanting to trade, you should already be equiped with the knowledge needed to be successful at trading.

Then basically for trading in general what you need is an exchange that's compatible for all your trading strategy. If you're the type that enjoy trading newly listed coins then exchanges like Binance that does that (the listing of new projects more often), will be suitable for you.

First make your research on what are the coins sitting at the top of the rank. You'll see Ethereum taking the lead for altcoins and currently at the 2nd rank.

While at the top of it, there's bitcoin but it seems that you don't want to trade bitcoin and you want to go through altcoins already. I'm telling you that you have to start with bitcoin if you want something based on your description.
Bitcoin has less loss in bear market..people only want to join in bull market but newbies will decide to join when market begins to crash.

They don't have plan to hold and trade is not good if they are losing capital and mind. Altcoins are very abundantly supplied and it is more easily to lose money with scam altcoins. Top 100 altcoins sometimes will have scam projects. They suddenly pump by pump and dump groups. Rising like rocket and join top 100 but fall shortly.

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step

That would be tough. You need to build your own list on your portfolio based on your DYOR and not just by following other's portfolios.

Well then, for a start, try to pick some top performer coins or tokens daily and weekly on the Binance platform. From there, refer to the coin's community and lurk on their group, if any, to somehow see the inside stuff of the projects and how's the community talk about it.

It is just a start then after quite some time, you will be used to it and finally, you can now able to create your own way on how to pick your preferred alts.

In addition to reading the website and methods mentioned in the historical replies, I think there are two more things to have, a good mentality, many altcoin projects will choose to run away and disappear, and some require you to spend a lot of time to look at the shanzhai. The currency market, their volatility and volatility range are larger than that of Bitcoin. In addition, you have to be more accurate than a bulging wallet. Trading altcoins requires a good tuition fee.

You have to keep in mind that most of the meme coins currently circulating in the market right now have a high-risk rating and certainly won't last long. Just stick to those well-established and stable coins. The likes of ETH, ADA, LTC, BNB are excellent choices.
You might want to check out Stakenet's XSN as well. Another stable project that has been around since 2018. Has an impressive road map and white paper. Run by a transparent team of professionals and backed by a positive community. Certified rug proof.

Consider top-50 coins from coinmarketcap list. Check those projects who exist at least for 2 years and be sure that they will live further. But check the charts also. These coins should be pumped from time to time.

I think the 100 CMC rank coin is a coin that has potential for the future. At least ranking in CMC has become part of your research. Volume, marketcap and daily percentage change are the most important research to see if this coin is active or not. High and low prices are not the main problem to be seen for a crypto trader.

If you want to do it correctly you need to put the time and effort in and not listen to the noise in the thread of the announcement or anywhere else on the internet. First look at the whitepaper and understand what they are trying to do. Then research the team and their background, do they exist? Do they have a history of success? Look at the price movement since it was released are there periods of large pump and dump like moves?  Once you have created your own opinion then you can visit the internet and see what others are saying.  While you do that go back to the chart and identify support and resistance levels where most of the trading takes place. If you still want to buy in, set an alert at those levels as your buy and sell points.

Op you need to have good knowledge in trading before thinking of trading any altcoin and moreover not all altcoins are weak in volatility although I know that many altcoins are always pumped and dumped making it looks manipulative and unfavorable to traders that has no sufficient information about the exact coin. You can decides to trade the spot market which is far better with lesser risks before taking your stand on the market outlook of altcoins.

1. Try to pick some projects that you think that idea was making you feel excited with it
2. Try to understand the fundamental of the project based on how good or bad the progress that already been made
3. Try to see which exchange sites that already listed the token issued by this project
4. Try to see how big the daily trade volume is to provide you good liquidity and you must be able to see how much demand for the project
5. Think about what benefits that you will get when you are holding the token issued by the project
6. Try to see how solid and big the community behind the project

You can do those steps easily by reading some threads on this forum or try to get the external source like what already provided by some members above me

First of all you need to gather knowledge about trading. There is some kind of trading. Which one you want to do? Day trading, long time investment also one kind of trading. If you want to invest for long time then you need to choose best coin which coin have huge popularity among people. Like Bitcoin, Litecoin, BNB, Ethereum etc. Also you can do day trading. But for day trading you need to follow the market in all time. And do your own research in market. You can choose Binance exchange for trading. All the best!

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step
Everything is on big marketcap websites. You can find coin with name, ticker. When you find the coin are looking for, you must double check with project website. Make sure you don't visit fake website and buy fake coin or token from them.

Scammers can create scam tokens to pump and dump. Those tokens usually are not listed on coinmarketcap or coingecko.

What you need to do to learn more about that. You can try to visit CMC and then you can also try to read a small explanation about what kind of coin is that already provided by CMC.

This isi the best way to learn more about crypto. You can also try to use learn feature that already created by CMC as well.

The beginner section has become the best place for you to learn about crypto

There are many altcoins today that can provide profits, but you have to be careful in choosing them, and you need detailed research for each coin such as , team, roadmap, supply and community, keep looking for altcoins that are already widely traded on leading exchanges like Masulum said
note: someone's advice cannot be a role model, it all comes back to your own choice if you are going to trade, hold and invest

I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step

If you are looking for an exchange, you can choose one of the several exchanges listed on this page. However, keep in mind, exchange wallets are not for long-term holding of tokens/coins, if you want to hold them, please store them in your own wallet.

You should also understand, for some centralized exchanges, you have to meet KYC in order to trade (sell/buy/withdraw). So, make sure to read the terms and conditions of the exchange before registering and making a deposit.

Which altcoins have a future? It's a good idea to do some research on each token you find, don't buy because of the ranking in CMC or Coinecko, however, look at the development the team is doing.

If you don't want to do KYC for centralized exchange, you can use decentralized exchange using Uniswap, Pancake or other, just becareful when you are trying to connect or give approval for your tokens.

Many of the current altcoins are worthless, some altcoins have been greatly increased for a short time and then immediately plummeted.
If you want to speculate, you must find the right team. You cannot blindly participate in it alone, otherwise it will be easy lose a lot of capital.
