TV delays depend on the provider and type of signal broadcast. At my old place, I had three different types of signals:

- Analog TV
- Cable TV
- Satellite feed

I had the same channel by the same provider for Analog and Cable TV, and a different provider via satellite.
The analog feed was the fastest transmission type. When I switched over to standard cable TV, there was a delay of about 3 seconds on the SD channel and 4-5 on the HD channel. The satellite feed was delayed about 10 seconds compared to my analog signal. The differences can be really big as you can see.

A match on TV is delayed by 4, 5, or more seconds compared to what is actually happening at the venue. That means that the events you watch on your TV screen happened X seconds ago (depending on how big the delay is). Live bets get the information first. This data is then sold or provided to other service providers, such as livescores, who naturally have an additional delay. If you rely only on the livescore, you might be too late to act on your bet.

If there is a corner or a free kick in an area where you expect a goal, that difference in delay can result in you cashing out your bet or failing to do so if you expect the result to change.

My TV which is satellite feed is delayed by about 5 seconds according to when we watch it on national TV (when watching world cup you can sometimes get national TV stations sponsoring and whoever is watching those games cheer first haha you can hear your neighbors cheer earlier than you then you know a goal is coming).

So imagine sofascore has it even later. Not going to help you at all.

This is definitely a good guide for those who use this bookmaker (and it’s pretty popular), but I personally use an app called SofaScore for all information about sporting events, and I can’t complain about its functionality.
Nothing wrong with SofaScore or other livescores if you are just looking to receive notifications showing the results of your favorite teams. But if you are a betting man and you need the info asap, livescores will always have a delay compared to bookies that cover the matches live.

Consider the following:

However, I must admit that I am not sure that SofaScore offers such a level of customization as bet365 for notifications, except for notifications for goals scored, and the start/end of the match.

When I just remember how we initially depended on ordinary TV teletext to find out the results, and when some free service appeared that allowed free redirection of email to SMS, it seemed like we got access to some cutting-edge technology Smiley

not all the sites are offering this service but it could be a good idea for some sites but if you placed a bet on the under market with goals then I think you do not want to hear a sound at all lol
It works both ways. If you placed a bet on the over market, the goal notification is exactly what you want to hear. Wink The good thing about these bet365 sound notifications is that you can configure it to your liking. If you want an alert only for goals and not other events, you can tick to receive only those. You don't have to be bothered with corners, bookings, and other actions if you don't want to.

Update:
Bet365 has made some changes again and now it is possible to receive sound notifications. Notifications for goals, bookings, corners, penalties, and some other in-match events can be enabled on Google Chrome by pressing the bell icon for your match of choice as described in OP. Unfortunately, players who bet on Mozilla Firefox can't take advantage of this feature.

I think these are great tips but impacted greatly that you have to use bet365 which not everyone in every country can.
That's true but I don't think bet365 is restricting in that many countries. According to some sources I found online (not sure how accurate and up-to-date they are), bet365 can't be used in the USA, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Romania, and Colombia to list just a few.

I want to add my method which I think almost every sport bettor uses one like this.I use an app like Flashscore or Futbol24 and the games I bet on mark their leagues as favs in the app and I select only these leagues. This way I never miss a notification.I do this on my mobile phone but Futbol24 also let you do this on your Pc.
That works as well, but If you reside in a country where you can access bet365, try out my method and you will see how much faster the bet365 notifications will sound. That's because it doesn't go over multiple intermediary sites to arrive to the livescore system. Bet365 uses venue scouts who operate from the stadiums or from TV. Services like Flashscore receive goal and other notifications with a significant delay.

It's interesting thank you but do you know how to deposit cryptos on Bet365 because AFAIK Bet365 isn't a crypto sportsbook.
Just like carlfebz2 explained, Bet365 is a fiat-only casino so you wont be able to play their with cryptocurrencies. However, you can still take advantage of their sound notifications if you need such services.

Normally I use for this a Dutch news site but those doesn have live blogs for all matches in other countries.
News sites are also slower. You will get the fastest response from bookies who cover the matches live. Even sites like livescore are delayed quite a lot compared to sportsbooks.

If you are betting on and following sports, you are probably aware of how important it is to receive timely information regarding goals, penalties, bookings, and other events that can change the outcome of a match. For that purpose, I created this step-by-step guide with pictures that describes how to enable sound notifications on bet365 online casino.

Nope, its not possible to deposit crypto directly with this bookie and this is one of the reason on why we cant really tend to use up this site.
Common payment options are neteller and other similar payment processors. Hopefully they would be accepting Bitcoin directly soon.

For that notification feature where i do hope that we can see similar feature in crypto sportsbook that we do have currently now.

Nice and easy guidelines for bet365 lovers who wants to get instant notification during their bet. Your thread will help them who want to stay connected with ongoing games and events. Although as far as i.know bet365 doesn't support crypto but a massive number of crypto oriented gamblers use this platform on a regular basis.

Hopefully new gamblers will follow the guideline to get live updates on their device.

Too bad I can only use Bet365 via a VPN because The Netherlands is blocked by them.

Requirements:

- A mobile phone (iOS or Android)
- Google Chrome installed on your mobile

It was easy to enable sound notifications for the events you wanted to follow on your computer in the past. All you had to do was select a match in-play and click on the bell icon highlighted below.

Source: https://gamblingking.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/bet365-In-Play-Betting.jpg

But for some reason, bet365 changed their layout and removed the sound notifications icon. This is how it looks today:

To enable the notifications today, you are required to make a bet on the said match, use the mobile app of bet365, or use the Chrome browser on your phone to open bet365. I am not using the mobile app, so I will show you how to enable important notifications through Google Chrome for the matches you are interested in.

1.

Open the Chrome browser on your phone and type in www.bet365.com. I have an account with bet365, but this also works even without registering or being logged in to your account.

2.

After you open the site, click on the In-Play button on the top left.

3.

Select the event you are interested in. You can see the icons for all the different sports that are currently live at the top. I will select the football match from Colombia as an example.

4.

Do you see the bell icon on the right side? Click on it.

5.

A dropdown menu will appear. Tick Get Live alerts on this match and select the type of alerts you want to receive. The alerts will depend on the type of sport you selected. In my example, I ticked alerts for goals, red cards, corners, yellow cards, penalties, and full-time result. Every time the selected event happens, you will get a sound notification. You can adjust the volume and type of sound from the sound settings on your mobile phone.

6.

If you performed the above steps correctly, you should now see a green tick next to the bell icon on your phone.

7.

You will keep receiving sound notifications until the match ends or until you disable the notifications on your phone. Even if you close your mobile browser or exit the bet365 site, the selected alerts will keep coming. To turn them off, click on the bell icon one more time and untick the Get Live alerts on this match. Make sure there is no longer a green tick next to it.

Bet365 is generally very quick with the markets for all their sports, especially football. The notifications' speed will depend on if the bookie has an agent at the venue who covers the match or if the coverage is performed via TV/stream. As a rule of thumb, the markets close a few seconds before the event appears on the stream.
