Thank you, but Prevention is better than cure and teaching people how to detect these scam methods is much better than trying to close them and pursue them.
Also, if they do not receive any economic benefit, they will stop publishing these ads.
Yeah to prevent this an ad blocker will help, I have compared a lot of adblocker but on uBlock Origin I was satisfied. There was a phishing attempt before that time they are using Trezor they have created a fake Trezor site and publish on google ads and uBlock origin completely blocked it. I don't know what is google doing allowing these malicious ads even on playstore they allow fake app, if no one's report it, they will not take action.

Yeah, adblocker can help to some extend, but for those who haven't use any adblocker, most probably they could be a victim because I have read that this malicious ads was downloaded 120 times before Google themselves removed it from their Chrome Web Store.

So the best option is to report it right away than ignore it.

I don't think reporting google ads is enough. We don't really know if the advertisement has been processed or they taken action.

In any case, it's better to report it than ignore it and think that someone else will do it, or think "it can't hurt me, I just don't care about others". What is important is to have as many reports as possible, because then Google will react sooner - Vires In Numeris.

I totally agree that prevention is a better solution, but reports are also some way to prevent people to fall into the trap, since most browsers will automatically block malicious pages. As for plugins and extensions, I would personally recommend not downloading anything that has to do with crypto unless you are 100% sure it is a legitimate plugin.

I don't think reporting google ads is enough. We don't really know if the advertisement has been processed or they taken action. It is true that prevention is better than cure. When you reported the ads they can just have another ads and include what they want to include in their advertisement if you ask me.

As the saying goes "an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure". However, there are a lot of newbies everyday in crypto sphere entering so at first hand they don't know what is in front of them are scams or not and it is very difficult to detect for inexperience players. And some of the guide posted might open their eyes to the bigger picture here. They themselves can report such ads using the steps given here and might feel good that they are able to help in their small little way to clean up the world that they are going to be involved in the next years.
