Temporary forum vacation
About Yobit I will add that it isn't updating blockchains and so you can risk to buy coins that are not on the main blockchain.
This due the fact they ask 0.5 Btc for maintenance or mandatory updates.
So if the coin team don't pay them .... you will find an old blockchain on the exchange.

I agree if Yobit is troubled because there have been many reviews on forums and social media about Red Trush from this exchange, Yobit has also been known to list any existing Shittcoin.

Haha Red Thrush, you maybe want to edit your message. Yobit is a bad exchange that is getting worse, but then so many exchanges have red trust and still do business.

Shitcoins? Any exchange you see lists shitcoins. If a coin is willing to pay a big fee, you think any exchange will say no? Trust me my friend, all the exchanges are making profit. They do not care if it is a shitcoin or better than Bitcoin.

Oh and 0.5 BTC fee? That is cheap. Try ask Binance for listing fee and get shocked.

Excuse me, can I ask a question about the exchange Binance? I registered there and I am asked to enable 2FA on my account. Why is this necessary? And what are the consequences if i ignore it?
As I know, two-factor authentication is only an additional measure of security on the Binance. Therefore, if you ignore this, it is only your choice

You have a good list however I recommend you to add more information to help your fellow members more on picking their exchage. I have included some things you might consider adding in the list.
Account Limits - Minimum and Maximum Withdrawals
Commissions and Charges per transaction
KYC - Yes/No
Verification Limits - Yes/No
Bank Wire option - Yes/No
Accepts foreign traders
This are some information that if you chose to provide it will certainly help newbies pick what exchange is suited for them as they will see the difference of one another.

Remember, this is Bitcointalk, not Altcointalk. The OP seems focused on altcoin exchanges.

Bitfinex and Binance are some of the highest volume BTC exchanges, but you should consider adding these influential and high-volume exchanges to your list:

GDAX (Coinbase)
bitFlyer
Bitstamp

You might consider adding KYC information for each exchange -- some require it, some do not.
good luck for you Cheesy

Binance is really the most popular stock exchange, but for me it's more convenient. This is an idle time to use, but a very convenient exchange.

I thought about that. In the near future I will add the Korean stock exchange, but I have not found enough information yet

You should really add Bittrex as well, they're also one of the most popular exchanges out there.
Are you just listing exchanges that offer a lot of altcoins? Otherwise, you might also want to add some of the really big exchanges such as Coinbase and Bitfinex for example.
I have already found information about this exchange, I will add it during this day. Thank you for staying with me, good luck!

guess who's back
Could you list any disadvantages of these exchanges also? It's not too necessary but if you want to build a beginners' guide overview of exchanges, it might be quite useful.
good topic but as jackg said you should indeed list the negative side of some of these exchanges
since this is the beginners and help section  some people may jump to yobit without knowing that it's one of the shadiest exchanges in the market
they do have a lot of pairs as you mentioned , but the negative side is that when there is something wrong with their wallets it takes them months to fix it which leads to having the coins stuck in yobit
Yes, i wiil add that.  I tried to show only the best about these exchanges, but now I understand that it is not always necessary to do this. at the moment I'm going to work, so I can edit the topic later. Thank you

yeah the topic now looks way better than what it was before , you still need to list that yobit has a lot of scam coins and they are encouraging it by keeping adding fake coins like LIZA and LAMBO

also I added more merits for your nice work

More exchanges that will be more popular that Binance and Yobit are coming. You know it's natural for a healthy competition in this regards, however, Binance is still an exchange to beat.

Not to mention their yovi coin which is literally the definition of a ponzi. They sell their coin (they're probably still selling theirs actually as no one else is able to - I think I can sell one hundredth of a millionth yovi at the current limits -and that's not above the 0.0004BTC trade limit (or whatever that limit is now).

In #Bitcoin me trust
Giving information about Binance, EtherDelta and Yobit without mentioning Poloniex, Bittrex, Huobi, HitBTC etc. is missing. Before the exchanges you mentioned these were the top preferred exchanges. They still have higher volumes and all are listed in top 10 list. So if you have time, adding these exchanges will be beneficiary for beginners. Besides information about exchanges, do trade on your own risk. Do not follow any pump/dump groups...

Binance

One of the most popular and large by the volume of trading of the crypto-exchange exchanges is the Binance exchange, which began its work in 2017 and managed to enter the top 5 exchanges on the trade in crypto currency.
Binance Exchange is a currency exchange, operating since 2017 and is one of the leaders in the volume of trading among the currently known such trading platforms.

Main advantages:
  -High volume of trades on many crypto-currency pairs
  -You do not need to pass account verification
  (without verification of the Binance limit on the withdrawal of up to 2 BTC per day, which is more than enough for many traders)
  -One of the lowest commissions in the trade of crypto currency
  -A wide choice of popular trading pairs is available at the Binance Crypto Exchange for trading
  -Stable performance and high productivity
  (the system is capable of handling more than one million orders per second)

Main disadvantages:
  -The request for purchase can be set only for a total amount of more than 0.002 BTC. At the current rate this is $ 30
  -Sometimes there are strong lags. It even prevents you from moving to other pages. There is no such thing in the mobile application.
  -Limited user registration due to the tremendous increase in popularity of Crypto-currency

How to recharge the balance?

To replenish the balance of your account on the Binance exchange (for convenience we will use the English version of the site, since the Russian translation is not very clear in some menu items), go to the top menu in the "Funds" - "Deposit Withdrawals" and on the opened page in the table we select the necessary crypto currency in which we will replenish the account and in the row with it we press the button "Deposit" and immediately the menu will open in which the specially generated purse address will be displayed (for each crypto currency is separate), to which you need to list the funds but (it is important to translate exactly the crypto currency that you have chosen, otherwise the funds can irretrievably disappear, for example, if you transfer bitcoins to the purse of bitcoin cash or any other crypto currency).

After transferring funds to the generated address and confirming that the network transfers this crypto currency, the funds will go to the exchange and will be available for trading in it.

EtherDelta

EtherDelta is a decentralized platform for the purchase and sale of tokens. It was launched quite recently in mid-summer 2017. The foundation of the exchange is the popular in the Ethereum community of Zack Coburn.
He is also known for the FirstBlood project - a cybersport decentralized site.
The work of EtherDelta is based on the smart contracts of the Etherium network

How to recharge the balance?

After authorization with the help of a plug-in or purse, the first thing that interests is the wallet balance.
If it is zero, it must first be refilled.
After that, to buy tokens on the exchange, you need to transfer coins from the balance of your wallet to a smart contract.
To do this, select "Deposit" in the "Balance" tab and enter the amount. It is necessary to leave a small amount of Ether in the wallet, which will cover the costs for gas. Once the transaction is confirmed, proceed to the trade. For this select the required token from the drop-down list.
If you do not have a coin in the stock exchange, from the list of choice of tokens, click on the bottom to "Other".
In the form that appears, we enter the name of the contract, the coins, and also the quantity and add the token to the pad. If he is interested in someone, it is very likely that you will get a coin.

Main advantages:
  -A huge number of currency pairs;
  -Very low (in comparison with other exchanges) commissions on the input of funds and a record low - on the conclusion
  -Useful tools: FreeCoins, InvestBox, etc

Main disadvantages:
  -Very large percentage of the withdrawal
  -Of course they have more exchange rate than other exchanges,
  -Commission for the withdrawal of BTC to another exchange is very large 0.005 BTC
  -A large number of tokens occupy the scam projects
  -A lot of fake tokens

How to recharge the balance?

If you have a Bitcoin wallet, or a bitcoin (or any other currency) on another stock exchange, you simply transfer it from the wallet / exchange where there is a currency to your individual address provided by the Yobit website.
If not, you can go the other way - use the services of online currency exchange,
where you also specify your purse address in Yobit.
Just a couple of minutes after the transfer is made, the amount you indicated will be displayed in the column "Pending Enrollment". Below, under the "Balances" table in the "Pending Receipts" section, your transaction with the status "In Progress" and the count of confirmation counts will be displayed. each currency needs a different number of confirmations. Accordingly, the time for the transfer of currency to the virtual wallet in the Yobit exchange is different.

Clicking on the last one gets your personal address for replenishment.

HitBTC

The HitBTC currency exchange is a platform created in 2013 by Estonian experts and Israeli entrepreneurs that allows trading more than 300 currency pairs.

Bittrex

Bittrex was founded in 2014 as an exchange service. But, after a while, this status ceased to satisfy the ambitions of the creators, and today this platform is a full-fledged crypto exchange, large enough and well-known users from all over the world. Developers of the resource paid much attention to the security of client tools. The "cold" storage technology that is used in the project makes them inaccessible to scammers (servers where user assets are stored are disconnected from the global network). In addition, the withdrawal of funds is possible only after two-factor authentication.

Main advantages:
  -Large volume of trades;
  -Large number of pairs;
  -A low commission, which is the same for all;
  -User-friendly interface;
  -High level of security.

  -Lack of support for popular payment systems;
  -Low withdrawal limits for unverified users.
  -Two-factor verification

Bitfinex

During its work, the exchange has undergone many tests: repeated hacking, blocking the entry and withdrawal of funds from foreign banks, etc. However, this did not prevent it from gaining popularity among crypto traders and firmly establishing itself in the top 3 crypto-exchange.

  -Verification when working with US dollars
  -Frequent hacker attacks that interfere with the work with the exchange

How to recharge the balance?
To replenish your account and start trading click on the "Deposit" link, and then select the crypt that we will replenish the account with. Confirm the introduction to the transfer rules and see that we are opening three fields for generating a purse. The fact is that for each function of the site there is a separate purse. Therefore, for each currency we have three different purses and we must choose which of them to replenish. Each wallet displays the total and available balances, which can be less than the total balance if you have previously opened orders or provided funds.

How to recharge the balance?
To do this, on the toolbar, we hover over the section "Balances" and in the drop-down list we select "Deposit & Withraw"
We get into the full list of available currencies, in which you need to select the one we need, and then click the "Deposit" button. An address will be displayed, to which we will have to transfer the amount.
To track the status of your deposit, you can use the "History" item, which is above the list of currencies. Next to the story is the item "Managing output addresses", where you can specify addresses with marks, which can then be displayed in the future.

Bitstamp

Bitstamp is one of the oldest Bitcoin-exchangers and has been operating since 2011. And this means that the service has seen a lot of crypto currency in the world and was able to adapt to the changes.
The exchange is best suited for medium and advanced users investing large amounts. For beginners, the platform will be too confusing. There are limited methods of payment, while Bitstamp charges quite high fees for small amounts of deposits.

  -Without verification, users can not replenish their account or withdraw funds from their wallet.

How to recharge the balance?
To replenish the account of the bitstamp, you need to go to the Deposit section at the top of the site, and choose the most suitable option for replenishment. Administrators provided an opportunity for their users to replenish their accounts through banks with fiat money, and through various resources, with crypto-currency "assets". But to replenish your account, first of all you have to undergo verification, because without it, your personal cabinet can be used except as a resource for viewing crypto-currency charts.
