Yes I had this issue in the past also. Basically there is no way you can check what memory is on the GPU unless you buy it.

If you can buy it at a store, then go down there and if there is no shrink-wrap, they might let you open the box and inspect the memory. If there is no heatsinks on the memory chips you can easily spot which type of memory it uses. If there is heatsinks then its impossible and you need to plug it into a computer. No computer shop will let you do this unless you buy it because the GPU becomes used and they will have issues selling it.

Some shops even with no shrink-wrap will not open the box, because the electrostatic bag inside might have a tape/sticker and they don't want to remove it because it will make the GPU seem used.

now which 2 gpu you think is best hashrate ?

You can not be guaranteed to get the memory you want.  I can say MSI 570/580 MK2 version typically have micron memory.  I purchased 15 of these GPUs and only one was Hynix... rest were micron.  With that being said you can bios flash the Hynix memory card to get it to 31-32 mhs.  It's not difficult... Just save the stock bios.rom file so when your done mining you can switch it back to stock bios.  If you haven't done this before there are many youtube videos and articles explaining what you need to do.  Example:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O1ZnLLz2qI

But there are others.

Hello

My first Rig teached me the Hynix is worse memory type no more than 21 Hashrate whatever i OC gpu or memory
while Micron and samsung hit 30 mh/s and up ( talking about RX 570 8gb )

I asked Amazon do allowed to return working GPU and the reason memory type is worse for mining
They asked me to create label and is allowed yes
they cover the cost return by DHL i not pay anything ( international, today i give DHL the package 2 gpu )

and 1 guy said will restocking and one guy said no restocking
anyway

now using 3 GPU each hit 30 to 31.900 no less ( Micron )
and gpu power 320 to 330w and i have platinum 1200w

almost each card 110w
still not downgrade power testing stable OC for hours

so i can add more x3 same cards or stronger x2 card

1- which GPU is best for mining and HashRate ?
2- how i check memory type before i buy?

Please share your experience maybe helping me
