@LoyceV I do not understand why you merited 2nd post  but not OP who's clearly looking to earn some merit.
I have 0 smerit
Anyways great guide and input, I usually do .1+ in person with a repeat buyer. I used LBC , and triple checked feedbacks vs percentages. One could say that you get what you pay for a heavier fee can indicate a better/smoother service. Lighter fees usually target noobs and indicate scammers.  I like the dead even trades to use btc as a currency, not just a interest collecting item.

See the thing is BTC is irreversible, once its gone, its gone, you can't do anything !
NEVER EVER GO to a place to trade BTC alone, you could loose your BTC, and may even suffer injury !

One of my friend got robbed on gunpoint cause people got mistaken that he owned 30 BTC, he only had 3 BTC, he was faking it on his social media, and when he was robbed and guys opened his wallet they was not believing that he only had 3 BTC. Scammers was thinking that he was hiding his BTC, and they beat him bad, but thank to his luck, someone noticed and interfered and he got his life saved !  Don't do anything stupid, SATOSHI went offline for a reason, world is greedy, people will kill you, one of dude got mugged in Thailand and got his credit card maxed out, think what could happen if they find you own crypto ?

Be Anonymous about your coins, keep them safe, and never ever meet someone unless you got backup !

Suggestions :
Do a meetup in a bank itself, take money and deposit right there !
Police Station is good choice too, but make sure you have proper way to bringing the cash home, they could follow you, and rob you in night !
Use brain wallets where possible, keep only small amounts in other wallets, so just in case you do get in bad situation your losses are minimised !
Avoid social media bragging, and keep your crypto circle to trusted !
Don't forget TAX, when you buy/sell the big amount, banks will definitely ask for some identification or proof !
If possible have identification of the seller/buyer !

Your life is more important then BTC, don't get greedy for extra 1%, Use trusted source !

The same rules apply if you have ever bought or sold anything of value P2P. A lot of the early stories I would read or the Agency takedowns of money transmitters, could easily replace crypto with drugs or decades ago alcohol during prohibition.

Never do a trade if you have a bad feeling.
If you know the tricks, nothing will happen, you learn to sort the bad guys out even before any meeting happenes.
This is probably the best advice for dealing in anything. Trust your gut when it comes to not feeling comfortable. I also like the parts about splitting this into smaller transactions especially until you get more familiar with people you want to deal with face to face. I would also add to only have the amount you agreed to sell in the wallet you intend to use, with enough to cover the fee.

also make sure, you only buy BTC with your own accounts, lots of charge-back frauds these days !

There is a group of at least 3 guys in Frankfurt, who pretend they have coins to sell.
They watch you coming to the meeting, but dont show up.
Whenever you leave the restaurant/hotel or wherever the meeting should take place, they rob your bag on open street, even in daylight or busy shoppingcomplex.
They will also beat you up.
So beware, only trade  in safe places where nobody can hit and run.
And have a backup in your mind how to leave the place afterwards, good is taxi right in front of the hotel.
Never accept meetings at places you have never been before.
Never enter a car of your tradepartner. Never meet in open street.

Another group working in Milano, Swiss, Belgium and London use the "Fakemoney in Envelope"-trick.

Its not a problem to go alone to the meeting under safe and agreed circumstances.
Its worse if you have 3 Bodyguards but enter an unsafe situation.

Never ever trust anyone you dont know.

But all in all, dont get scared to trade f2f.
Slice the trade in smaller transactions!
Never do a trade if you have a bad feeling.
If you know the tricks, nothing will happen, you learn to sort the bad guys out even before any meeting happenes.
Majority of F2F outside this forum is real and works flawless.
Here on Bitcointalk I guess more than 50% are scamattempts or they simple dont happen.
(For sure not the "minimum 1000BTC"-stories)
