Hello all,
My problem is this:
As you can see above, my "Accepted shares" values is a set of a very big value followed by one very much smaller in the parentheses. Is that normal? I've seen around people posting Accepted values like "60(60)" and I'm quite concerned something is going wrong and I'm loosing bitcoins because of that.
I have a pretty good technical background but I'm quite new to Bitcoin and it's jargon. I'm currently mining on Windows 7, with 2 nVidia 8800gts 512 (sucks I know..) workers, running on GUIMiner v2011-05-01 instances, connected to slush's pool, with no flags (haven't found anything for my card, if you know something please enlighten me). Also, I seem to be getting quite a lot of ADSL disconnects/reconnects mainly because of high cable noise in my area, so not much I can do about that. But I thought that the fact that my IP changes 1-2 times a day might be a clue to some of you. I also have ubuntu nutty 11.04 on the same machine as an alternative, if that is of any help for optimizations.
So, any insight on why my "Accepted" rate seems so odd, what it actually means and how I could make things better? Any help is much appreciated! Maybe I'll give a tip too, if you help me boost my mining rate significantly.
