Bet it's not as sophisticated as this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.26530966!

It has been happening for longer than you think.

AFAIK, we don't let users download something for a demo. It's basically a copy of https://gunbot.com. It's all online, and you could see it directly using a browser.

Thanks for sharing this. I would let others know that something is going on like this. Make sure that the person/website is on the active reseller list, or you'll get scammed.

I have received the same PM yesterday but not from this user. I didn’t try to check out that as I was busy. It’s possible I would have been trapped if I checked their site.
I received from this user- https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/zeenaegg76-2882016
Will report the PM now.

Thanks dude! I had to check out their official thread to make sure the website isn't listed as one of the legit sources of buying the Gun-Bot. Made members aware in that thread as well.

I think you should report it as an unsolicited PMs or any kind of phishing attempt since the real website of gunbot is not gun-bot[.]com but..

Code:
https://www.gunbot.com/

Check out this detection on virustotal - https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/028bd2d335c2893ebcd39a367f775a8e520fc1fa23abfe5e426a62b16347f55f/detection

This also could be affiliate marketing but certainly spamming members of bitcointalk with unsolicited PMs isn't the way.

Sending unsolicited advertisement PMs is a temp-bannable offense. Report the PM you got for advertising spam.

Forum rules
29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.

Since you were PM'ed by a throwaway newbie account I say it should be perma banned IMO.

I'm sure you'll be acquainted with the very famous Gun-Bot by Gunthar. A reputed member of bitcointalk and one of the most widely used trading bots in the community. I got this PM by user ringkk3 today, PM states

If you have crypto and don't use a trade bot, you're passing up free money!

Check out gun-bot.com, the leading Crypto trade bot, and download the demo.

Just set the parameters accordingly and sit back to enjoy the consistent profits.

Use code "JL0216" for the demo!

I could have reported the PM and left it there but just opening this thread to make sure these spamming accounts aren't doing anything to defame GunBot. This also could be affiliate marketing but certainly spamming members of bitcointalk with unsolicited PMs isn't the way.
