Estimating a fee is not an exact science. You should always look for the alternative that puts your transaction in the next block for the lowest price. I believe that relying on a single website is the worst alternative. Or always accept the suggestion of the wallet. Ideally, you should always search on at least two websites. But in addition, understand how the fee works. This post explains very well how to calculate your fee.

seems like the blockchain spam is over (for now?)
the fees are back to normal, now it is under 10 sat/byte to get confirmed in under an hour, usually faster-
https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

That site is still estimating fees 10 times what you need to pay. Use https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,24h to see what's really in the mempool and what is being included in blocks. I was able to make a transaction at 1 sat/byte this morning while they were still recommending 30 sat/byte.

Here's a thread I started when I was trying to work out why they get it so badly wrong.

tl:dr
They store old transactions in their mempool that the mining pools have dropped.

Also use https://coinb.in/#fees or https://whatthefee.io/ instead.

yes,the site is suggesting you overpay your fees,I used to recommend it and ,actually, used it to estimate my fees
now it can only be used to see the amount of transactions unconfirmed/total per sat/byte and even these figures are off it seems
using this one instead https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,24h now
https://coinb.in/#fees  is perfect, actually, thank you for suggesting it

think there are some interesting posts in there as to why the fees are lower

Just gone through the fees instruction on Trezor wallet. Current fees rate seems to be very low compared to other days. Even yes in Coinbase, Electrum and in LocalBitcoin the fees are very normal these days.

Electrum has an option to decrease and increase blocks to navigate the fees. The less the blocks are selected, the fees are increasing. But the max fee is just 0.0001 + btc. Too low. The more the blocks / difficulties increase, the fees are becoming low.

Fees are very low right now.

CANT BELIVE I COULD SEND 1 BTC with 0.1 $ FEES
Fees have nothing to do with the amount you're sending, rather with the size of your transaction.
It's possible to have to pay more than you're sending if your inputs for the transaction are many.
