Habit doesn't develop by rushing again it doesn't get away without habit even as good habits prove how strong our personality is bad habits reveal how weak we are habits can't be avoided if you would like to but it's possible to vary yourself during a positive way if you are trying. I think my only habit right now is checking the price of cryptocurrency or reading manga,
I did plan on exercise or work out but I think I don't have enough motivation to do it,
I also want to build up a healthy habit too but maybe when things got a little better for me.
if you want to build a healthy habit then push that exercising activities mate, sitting in front of your computer all your time will let you meet your death sooner .

Make it a habit , that was just in early times that you will be losing motivation but eventually ? it is addicting .

try having Mountain bike. it will help a lot.

Building new habits is hard for me, because I need to change my daily routines and tend to relapse. Doing something new a few times is fun, but to be consistent and really making sure that it becomes our habit is hard. So far the best method for me is still to write my dream on Post Its and put on the mirror so I see it every morning. A constant reminder seems to be the best to create a new habit. Maybe we could get a new App for our phone just with the sole purpose to help us with our habits, to get rid of the bad and turn them into better ones.

lol once Bad Habits it will always bad so best to let this out and find better one.

Being health-conscious, I tend to drink more water rather than carbonated drinks especially being outside.

Haha, i also do the same, just drink boiled water, no drink any of other beverages. But if i was outside, i would drink mineral water because of  there is no boiled water generally.
Warm water will helps more , because cold drinks will also not good for our health.

its Ok to drink cold sometimes but using as Habit and daily routine then this is not good.

I think the best way to build up better habits is to find people with similar ideas as us. If we surround ourselves with like minded people than we can motivate each other. It is very hard to change our behaviour on our own, using the help of friends and families can make a huge difference. Our best chance is to involve as much help as possible.
yup because tell me who your friends are and i tell you who you are.

this applies to the people we go around in life and with good sets of people surrounds will bring us to the best results and i applied this since i got married

I started exercising a lot more & drinking more water when the corona virus restrictions have been in place. There was nothing to do so I just started walking about 6 miles every day, I have lost some weight doing this but it’s helped my anxiety a lot.

Building a new habit is a gradual process, and as such, it can never be built overnight. But thou there are several factors that one needs for the manifestation of a new habit, and they are to be ready, willing and take action to do those things to fuel that new habit.

New good habit if one has to develop it does takes times as you have to unwind few things or probably its complete new t o you and getting adjusted is never easy. So flexibility is the key where you are ready to adjust as per the situation and adopt it quickly.

Like almost all members who are active on this forum have the habit of checking crypto prices every day. In fact, almost every hour I see
the movement of the crypto market, because the current market situation is quite tense. I also really like Anime, but I prefer watching Anime,
rather than reading manga. Regarding sports, I suggest you have to force yourself to exercise every day even if it's only 15-30 minutes.
This is to maintain the health of our own bodies.



Something is causing people to behave that way. Its intention is to create fear and panic. People should refocus their mind on good/productive things, and stop taking big risk with their time and money. Avoid anything that creates the fear and panic. I have witnessed this before, a mind control system used to create disorderliness, distraction, confusion before a takeover, destruction or profiting from what they see as opportunity, unwanted, enemy forces etc. Better for people to focus their minds on things that are good and useful for the community/people and ignore them, else they turn their victims into what they want them to be .
You have to be strong to be able resist getting sucked in.

To humans: "those are fearful words",  To the CREATOR: "I'm exposing your enemies to you."

Say Bismillah before you start or do any activities like eating, sleeping, reading, writing, etc. Be confident and hopeful that Ar-Rahmaan is always with you. He will help you.

Remember, the more we ponder upon and believe in the attributes of Allah the more we will feel the power and effect of reciting Bismillah. Allah is Rahman as well as Raheem, i.e., He is blessing us with a heavy and continuous rain of mercy.

Don’t forget Allah on happy occasions. Have a good opinion and hope in Allah at the time of trial. Just say, my Rabb has always blessed me extensively and there must be something good for me in this trial.

Just as habits give people strength bad habits lead people to bad to build good habits you need to think positive. Like good habits bad habits are formed in us habits cannot be avoided if you want to but it is possible to change yourself in a positive way if you try first we get a signal in the brain when we get that signal we want to do something then we do it. After doing the work we feel good or a good feeling is created we do that again for this good feeling this is how a habit stands.

Going for a walk each morning when I wake up. It makes me want to be productive for the rest of the day and I'm not thinking about it all day then.

Washing my face every night and putting sunscreen on in the morning. It makes me feel good knowing I'm doing things for the future

If you are doing things in bad ways then it wasn't a Habit but a Vices , because habit should be for Good and not for bad things.

I also experience staying up all night every day, boil out red blood streaks, boil out acne, boil out dull complexion. You need motivation. I went through this on my own experience. Sometimes you try for years to get rid of or acquire new habits, but nothing works out for you. And then something happens that you no longer have a way back and you have no other choice but to act. And then you have the motivation to do something that you couldn't bring yourself to do before. And after about 2 weeks you get used to it and for you it already seems commonplace (something that you couldn't start doing for several years).

There are two types of habits ... Some are good and some are bad as well. Both type of habits  have their own pons and cons. But the main different between the both types is that Good habits are beneficial and give you fruitful results, but bad habits give you fruitless results, that's why try to avoid your bad habits by replacing it with Good one

I actually stumbled upon an article which mentions committing to a personal goal for 21 straight days. After three weeks, that goal should become a habit. And once you've established that habit, you continue to do it for another 90 days. Let's see if it works!

Habits are a gradual behavior that should be maintained consciously for a certain timeframe until it has been normal, though it sounds easy it is very difficult thing to do because there are factors that will try to interfere and some of these factors can make you go back to square one altogether. I have steps that I do when I want to make something a habit. Here is some of my tips, but take this advice with a grain of salt because I am no expert.
  • 1. Do the activity that you want to become a habit with a fixed time or repetitions if it is an exercise, for the whole step we have to use one example so I will use pull-ups as a habit, do atleast 1 or 2 then gradually snowball the number.
  • 2. To gradually snowball the number is very hard so will need cues to trigger this, put a pull up bar in door, this will subcosciously trigger that you need to do some pull ups, at first you will be tired after the 1 or 2 reps of the pull ups but there will come a time that your body will adapt and you will want more and that is the cue for you to up the reps.
  • 3. Take a break and do not think about doing pull ups for a day and you will subconsciously want to do pull ups.
These steps are personal accounts on how I created a habit, so you are free to add, criticize and ignore.  Grin

You cannot describe bad and good habits.
For some people some habits are bad and some are good - everything depends on the kind of person that has this habit.
If you feel that you have a bad habit you can quit it by leaving it out of your daily routine. If you do it one, two days without this habit then you are nearly quitting it.

Get rid of all bad things in your life. Get the good things and begin to use/do them as often as necessary. The good habit will begin to form and will gradual bring you close to perfection with the help of GOD's Holy Spirit.
 It's important to know what the good and bad things really are, so that it will be way easy for you to form the good habit. GOD's own standard of good habit/things is different from the world's standard.

I never skip breakfast no matter how busy I am, an advantage for a employee like me.

My bad habit that I want to change is I keep on overthinking in every small things and cant help it. Thats my character that I want to change for good because its not healthy for myself and causes a stress.

A few years ago, I took the habit of keeping track of what thoughts I have, what I think, etc.
This is a very useful habit, which allows you to understand a lot. For example, before, you could worry about something or be offended by someone or have any other negative emotions. And now you notice these negative images and thoughts and say “bye” to them because you turn your attention to good thoughts that will help you do something useful.
It's hard at first, but over time it gets easier and easier. And it took me about a year to learn how to control this. The results exceeded all my expectations. I sincerely advise everyone to “wake up” and begin to notice what thoughts you have, and if these are negative thoughts, then you can switch to positive ones!

I can share probably my work habits. I always make it a point that I have an organized to do list everyday to make sure that I wouldn't forget anything as the day goes by. And also a lot of coffee to keep me at a 100%! Wink

There is not any scientific method in order to build habits.
Just try to involve this new activity in your daily schedule. Start with 5 mins during the day, then do it 10 mins... After sometime this activity is going to be your habit and you are going to do it everyday without thinking about it.

With each beginning of the year we have that intention to do or stop doing something. Many times we started well, but after a short time we started doing the same thing again.

The good news is that there are effective methods for changing a habit. Sometimes what fails is not your will, but the strategy. Of course, this requires effort and perseverance, but without an appropriate method, it is much more difficult to achieve this goal of change.

I just read in a philosophy book on how to break a habit and I learnt an important fact that our procrastination gene dominates over every habit gene or repeatition. Procrastination can help to break a habit better than anything. Do all positive works you need to do without being lazy and make yourself tired enough to procrastinate the negative habits for the day.

Well, making and breaking a habit is really hard but nothing is hard once you are sure of putting the required dedication. It generally takes 21 days for making or breaking a habit, which is ofcourse generalized and an average of datas. However, it might take more days to break a chronic habit. Like I am trying to break my bad habit of gambling.

I guess that is not easy. You can try to take a rest after 20 minutes sitting in front of your computer. You use your time to carry around in out of your home. Try to take a deep breath, feel the fresh air in and out of your body. You don't need to use 20 minutes in the beginning, but you can use 5 minutes to start and try to increase the time every day. I am sure you will have a new habit that will help you to get better.

I'll try, might need to buy some fixed-interval timer which could work.

I think you don't have to buy anything to help you to take a rest after sitting on your computer for a while. You can use the alarm that is available on your mobile phone, so you can activate it so that alarm can remind you to stop for a while. That is one of many things that you can do to take a rest for a while.

To build good habits I think you have to:
1. Become conscious that you have a bad habit
2. Seek for the reason of it (often unconscious)
3. Work to shuffle off the bad habit
4. Redirect the energy that was consumed by the bad habit to develop a good habit.

Seems simple, but requires some time though.

I taught myself to eat right. I tried it many times before, but constantly broke down on pizza and alcohol. I started learning how to cook delicious, proper food. I’ve been keeping it for 3 months already.

Habits are a very powerful thing that can shape your life you need to develop good ones as they are not easy to control
it all starts with thoughts then these thoughts turn into words inside your head then they become actions then habits then they can reshape your life
and the earlier you put down a bad one the easier it is

I've been eating less, more healthy food and moving around more, and as a result, I've lost a few kgs, so I'm quite happy with that.
I have done the same for the past 2 years now because in past?i am a fatty and sweet eater i can even eat gallon of ice cream while watching movies in the theaters and also can eat 1 pound of burger with large fries and large soda but now?

I am having Keto diet and now it is also my habit

To create good habits we have to change our dietary habits according to the rules as much as we need to eat the food our body needs. Outside food should be avoided I eat nutritious foods to protect my body's balance and eat more of the greens that my body craves and nourishes.

Eating this is often a companion to our life to stay the body healthy, we take healthy food we should always drink enough water. Also consistent with the principles I exercise daily within the afternoon may be a light rich diet that helps keep my body healthy and eat more fruits.

When you've been on the monitor for around 20 minutes or more, try to look at the other side of your room or work place. This is a practice that I'm now starting to make it a habit, as consulted this is good for our eyes if you're infront of the computer most of the time.

Damn, this is one of the hardest habits to catch since I tend to sit in-front of my screen often and it's soooo easy to slack off.

If you wanted to practice something and make it as your daily habit then you should practice it for 21 days which will make it as your daily routine after that so just begin and never stop until you reach the destination.

wow you have given me idea mate,because what i am practicing now is exercising my eyes every at least 2-4 hours.

facing my Eyes 2 minutes each sides,2 mins UP,Down.left and right this is my Hobby now because i can feel my eyes are getting tired.

For me the best technique to build better habits is the habit packing, you just pile the reward of one habit as the cue for another ex:
I Always drink a extra cup of coffee in the morning after my breakfast so I started to write in my journal immediately after picking the coffe and after I finished my journal and drank my coffe I start to medidate for a short time(Started with 2 mins of mindfulness)

This worked extremely well for me because I struggled to implement these habits for months with no results but when I started this routine it was extremely easy to do it and now it is already automatic
