Well, it differs from people to people and I think that he's got on this one and likely very confident not knowing that he's already targeted. But with his status, he should be aware that he's already being targeted by these attackers.

Indeed, accounts that have high followers and reach certainly are a luring attempt for hackers to attempt to exploit the target. That is why Youtube live cryptocurrency scams are populous, and in some degree scammers try to deceive their target by interacting with user who have a high user base. So in that sense, those who have influences have a high and diverse security risk.

What is essential is to apply basic digital security recommendations, for each people no matter whether they got a high likelihood of being targeted or not. That is because SMS 2FA is truly ineffective.

These CEOs are aware on how to protect themselves but sometimes it is making me wonder if they do really know. Knowing on how big they are on this market and a simple protection of their social media accounts is one way to show how they're protective over their accounts.

But it seems that no matter how they protect themselves, the attackers are all eyes on them.

Attackers whether scammers or hackers would continuously seek and find a weak spot to anyone in their interest. It does not have to be someone with a high profile such as what happened in this case, but a high-scale attempt sometime does penetrate by the weakest link. For example, there recent hack case where initially customer service are the one who is targeted.

In this case, someone in a position or deemed as high profile should certainly apply good and safe security recommendations. Nevertheless, without a doubt, SMS, which is the culprit in this case, is truly a terrible security mechanism in place. So I don't think he has securely protected his own account, in the first place.
That's why it's surprising that he should be aware of this since he has started a project that's known to many knowing that it's got a better security.

I think these twitter hacks are happening because many used 2fa with their phone number and they had a leak a while back.

So the hackers know the owners phone number, do a sim swap, and basically reset the password and take over the account. This is why SMS 2fa should never be used. Especially when the site had a leak with the phone number of the account owner.

That's normal, and as long as Uniswap is safe from any hack we should not be worried.
I think hackers are just trying to get some information from the founder and hopefully they will see nothing there.
If you don't want to be compromised better not to put any important details on your social media account and keep it private.

Why the link has to be a YouTube video?

I've found a link article for this news: Binance CEO warns of phishing scams as Uniswap founder gets hacked

The hacker really does not choose time and time as long as he has the opportunity to enter to steal, he will immediately take advantage of it. Then this kind of scenario is not new, either centralized or Dex, that's still number one, the unfortunate thing is that the users are the victims.

Anyway, maybe uniswap won't let its users lose their trust in them, maybe they just need to triple the caution of hackers like this so that uniswap doesn't lose patronizers.

Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments
This is not the first time that a celebrity account has been hacked, everyone should now be wary of contacting any Uniswap Twitter account until things become clear and an official announcement is made about the incident.

Recently, developers accounts of well-known projects have been hacked a lot. Recently there was news about the hacking of the Aptos social network, now there is news about Uniswap. They either have problems with passwords or problems with social engineering. In general, I always think that such people always protect their property well and know better than others how everything works from a technical point of view.

I don't even know who the fuck is handle the twitter account. It's likely hacker was even smarter than those big names.

The title already described the complete identity of the hacked twitter account. It’s impossible to not know uniswap unless you are not trading altcoins which is ironic because you are posting here on altcoin discussion.

I knew mostly these hackers were coming from the phishing email that being sent to the victim's address.

It’s impossible for Hayden Adams to be a victim of phishin since he is well known on coding as he developed the first successful defi DEX. Probably his account got brute force while his account security is weak.

This is not something new but i kinda feel how easy hacker to take over twitter's account that owned by others. It seems like that hacker become even smarter these days.

Some others big project owner or project itself got compromise too. So be careful anyone if those persons or accounts posting something like an airdrop or link which could be a scam at all. Either wait first for few times before agreeing that there is literally an airdrop or confirm with different group or there other contacts cause chances that hackers are the one posting it instead the real owners.

It's hard when a popular personality account is hacked because his followers listened to these popular personalities and they are likely to lose their funds, so be sure you are familiar with the posts of these personalities if suddenly they post something unusual like promoting a new and dubious project so your won research if the account is still good.

It's not okay to put your 100% trust in personalities, many investors lose money from trusting too much, Here in Cryptocurrency investing, DYOR is very important every investor should know and apply this concept.

Lightning network is good with small amount of BTC
This is not new anymore, this Twitter account owner are very careless. I can not recall the people that their Twitter account are hacked in a way they the account will be used for malicious reasosn and people will be scammed. This type of hack is very common with those NFTs in a way that fake NFTs are sold. People should try to know when a Twitter account has been hacked. It is good to deal with a platform directly instead of relying on social media. But those sites can be hacked too, keep that in mind.
