As other users have pointed out, you have to provide evidence that you are the owner and I have to say that this is a lesson for you because if you have the right credentials that only the owner could know then you wouldn't be hassled by the slow progress of recovery. Your other issue is a ban which I hope can be appealed and have it lifted but I don't know any users that have gone that path and got their bans lifted.

🤬  Why didn’t you READ THE THREAD before posting?

P.S., “Star Platinum” gets style points.  It is so much more aesthetic than the usual names that people use for “please unlock my account” alts!  +1 merit to the account’s first post so that Star Platinum can rank up to Jr. Member.  That gives you a basic signature, personal text, and image posting privileges.  Let your imagination run wild with the possibilities of a Star Platinum account!

Welcome back.  Declarative sentences are properly punctuated with periods; please learn how to use them.

Did you find out why your account was hacked in the first place ? Did you used an easy password or you told your password to any friend etc ?

Keep a strong password and hopefully no one will be able to hack your account.

reused password

Here is a selection (onion) of secure password managers for you.  Bitwarden may be easiest, if you are accustomed to being dependent on cloud stuff like all of the cool kids who obdurately refuse to end sentences with periods.  Bonus:  It is open-source; and if you want, you can run your own server instead of depending on theirs!

If you have reused passwords, then you should register at have I been pwned? (not a typo).  What you thus discover should properly scare you into never, ever reusing passwords again.

reused password

That's a common reason why most accounts get hacks. Although it is difficult to remember but you should use different password for all of your account e.g exchange accounts, emails accounts , social media accounts and forum account etc.  If you can't remember all these different passwords you can take help from any secure password manager.

Nice to see that you are back Smiley

On top of having a very strong password, I would make sure my device is safe by reinstalling a fresh operating system.
- Avoid registering on random IOC, airdrop or crypto websites
- Avoid visiting malicious websites
- Avoid downloading malicious/untrustworthy apps and web extensions

The most common ways people lose accounts to hacks is to use the same or similar login credentials in every website that could eventually get leaked in one of them, downloading malware or trying to log into phishing sites.

This particular hacker doesn't try to even change the password because he knows it might be locked before he uses the account. What he does is wait when you are inactive then start using your account to post malware,

"Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
For security, your account has been locked. Email [email protected]"
It's locked not banned.

But it's weird your account can be locked without reset password via secret question or any security reason based on BPIP https://bpip.org/Profile?id=1943848

You sign a messages from your old staked address and post it here

Is it just me or OP's account wasn't banned?
BPIP.org doesn't show any records of it being banned and neither does loyce.club - https://loyce.club/bans/usernames.txt

OP can you confirm if the account is still banned by trying to log in?

This is what I see when I login using that account

I emailed the email address in that post, its been months with no reply. I was actively posting on WO at the time, and even the person who reported the malware post had the remark that I was most likely hacked. I have no reason to waste years of reputation over a few bucks I'd get from spreading malware
Yep, it's pretty much the standard scammers practice, to hack accounts and then use them for  creating fake announcement threads with malware. Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action thread is full of similar cases, and I personally tagged quite a few of those. In majority of cases they hack low level account, but every once in a while higher ranking accounts is used.

Looking at your posting history, it really looks like your account has been hacked, as posting a known malware link in the part of the forum where that you usually don't visit (mining) really looks odd. I do remember that some members  complained after getting their accounts banned due same reason as yours and they got ban lifted so hopefully there is still a chance for you to get your account back.

i did that, i had a signed message and i followed all the instructions, probably because i was banned aswell, its not just an account recovery thing
All cases of ban and account recovery are handled separately, all you have to do at this point is have a solid argument to prove your account was indeed compromised (I can not find any hint of a changed password or email, so if it was hacked, your log in details was exposed). Mods can choose not to act in certain situations if they are not convinced enough.

Rather than following the hacked and lift accounts process, follow the ban message on your original account, there is an email you can use to appeal the ban with all relevant information.

The moderator gave you a link. Did you do what was required? Signed a message, sent a letter to the moderators?
You probably didn't do it, as the recovery service works very well.

Who should i contact to get my account back?

You have already received the reason.
And this way to help you with your problem: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/recovering-hackedlost-accounts-5089777
If you can provide the necessary info and proof of being the original user the recovery team will be able to help you.

You may need a convincing story with enough evidences to prove that you lost access to your account and the malware was posted by the hacker. If the story is convincing then you can request the account recovery team.
Here is a thread which will give you the information of recovering hacked account : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/recovering-hackedlost-accounts-5089777

So, my main bitcointalk account, by the username 'SwayStar123' had been hacked and the hacker posted malware with it ---> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.55205496

so unsurprisingly, a mod banned the account, I posted an appeal in january to the email address given, but havent gotten a reply, and since its been a couple of months thought id bring it to attention again.
