The thing is if you changed after the hack than you are not affected by the hack and if you had this password used nowhere else then it is very unlikely the hackers "guessed" it. Did you use it somewhere else? Or did you have a security question that was easy to guess or was your email account hacked? We need to find out how the hacker or hackers got control over the accounts.(Not saying mine and yours were hacked by the same guys)

You can try reasearch the database hack way back in 2015 where bitcointalk user's sensitive account informations including passwords and their e-mails are cracked which the forum advised to change their passwords so I changed mine and replace it with a much secure one than the previous but those users who are confident with their strong passwords didn't and until now they still didn't. Those who have weak passwords (naturally) has been cracked then hacked and some sold it for some bitcoins at the Auction board but don't get me wrong since not all accounts that are sold are hacked but most are.

My Account was hacked too. I provided all info necessary to recover my account. I am waiting 24hours now and when reading this I fear I will never get it back. Here is my thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.20796375

Did you change your password after the 2015 hack or not? I want to know how they got my account. If not, my password was 17chars long, how long was yours?

Its 17 characters long but lacking in upper and lower case letters and symbols aside from alphanumeric is still the same as others. I did change to a much better set of password. But there are famous bitcointalkers out there who didn't changed their password since it is strong and have what it should contain in my given requirements to be considered as a secure password.

aw, said guess i ill have to wait .  Sad

Yes. You have no choice.

My account got hacked too, I don't like how bitcointalk allows them to change the email without even doing real email verification :/ It feels so bad man :/ admin aren't helpful too :/ I don't even know if i will get my account back :/ They should tell us if they don't wanna help out :/ Making us waiting don't even know if they will help out :/

Admins had a lot of things to do if you don't know. You should use a strong password with atleast 15 alphanumeric characters long in lower and upper case and you can also inlude symbols. There are users here who didn't changed their password after the database leaked but still their password aren't cracked.

As long as you submitted it correctly then all you have to do is wait. Somme recovered their accounts in a few days, some in a few weeks, and there are some who took one month or more. No one can help you now but the admins.
