If true it's amazing, thanks for the update.
I wish that whole story would hurry up and be over.

Damage done to BTC has exceed that of any BTC Gox stole. BTC community took a major hit, at least in the PR face.

That damage should be reflected in price, which it's not.  All we have here is an incompetent business and possible fraud.  The free markets have spoken and will replace Gox with something better.

The problem with file sharing is that the host can add anything they want to it; I don't think the malware was included in the original; people didn't notice until the files had been redistributed several times. I would imagine the original was heavily scrutinized on reddit and if malware was included then this would have been brushed off as a scam from the very start.

http://blog.magicaltux.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/MtGox2014Leak.zip this link where are all of those "evidences" are doesn't work. Show me something more then just random screenshots. I don't mind screenshots as evidence at all but I can't see all of withdrawal there were out there, only some of them. That is not enough. Not to mention if it were actually evidences, clients of mt.gox should use it in court.

That is so foul.  It is in essence kicking people while they are down.   Most of the people likely to open that file to read its contents are former users of Mt. Gox, and for them to be hit again and potentially lose even more coins is absolutely atrocious IMO

Indeed.  I'm not sure, though, that the original black hats actually distributed the malware along with the information.  If so, they suck.

But it may be that they did originally distribute the information obtained from the hack and later someone else redistributed it with malware attached.

This is the land of wolves now & you're not a wolf
Well, I'm certainly not just going to take the word of people who are, if they distributed that archive complete with wallet-stealing malware, are blatant thieves themselves.

maybe guys at blockchain.info can help with it ... is it possible to draw charts like those used to social network analysis ( nodexl, pajek ) ?  Huh for me is easy to visualize/analyse correlations between nodes ... bigdata is easier looking it as a clusters

something like ..

That's not a proof in it self, I don't know how anyone with minimum inteligence could get to the assumption that he stole the coins even if that information is true, and in the assumption that that the information is accurate it shows that MTGox inflated the bitcoin market with imaginary BTCs more than the number they've shown officially (I guess the difference is Marks own coins?) which was the case anyway after they got their BTC Stolen some years ago, Anyone in his right mind woudn't steal the coins from his business and stay right there without fleeing

Please do not PM me loan requests!
Why?
Gox is hurting it's users and currency as a whole.

This is already being discussed in many other areas of the forum.

Please note that the .exe file in the download the hackers produced is suspected to contain a wallet.dat stealer, so use if you want to take a look through the stuff, download the .zip and open it on a VM.

Several people have confirmed that the balances represented in the leaked documents are accurate.

If you had a Gox account you can look at your trade history and balance as published in the document and verify the accuracy for yourself.

It's pretty bad...
