.... However, the big problem may come the day when hackers not only steal coins and tokens but also all the personal information of users. Names, addresses, history, etc.

Yeah, that's right, users data that filled from registration form nor KYC's data. That's terrible.  Shocked

Tech Bureau Corp..which exchange is that? Never heard of it before. If you use shady exchanges for trading then no wonder you will be at the losing end.

The exchange is Zaif.jp and it's one of the most important exchanges in Japan, it's not a new or unknown platform. Tech Bureau are the owners of the exchange.

Exchange crack quite often and this became commonplace. Keeping money on the stock exchange is not the best idea, as it is quite dangerous, but on the other hand, wallets are also hacked. The problem is that crooks and hackers go unpunished in many countries.

There is real worth on cryptocurrencies industry. If they wanna go with safer way to invest I will suggest cryptocurrencies only. Banks or properties of will not be stay long time in the market.
Hacking can be done on any local and unsecured servers so do not consider all the cryptocurrencies based sites are easy hackable. If you know to give the security for your wallet then hacking is really worth one for you.

This is no longer a question because this is not something new, but it has been a long time ago, everyone must know the dangers of hackers against all the money they have instead, all systems are completely safe, they will always be able to hack under any conditions, very unsafe to store a number of crypto in exchange, many cases occur and are always experienced by Binance and others.

Tech Bureau Corp. is reported to have been hacked by irresponsible parties and suffered substantial losses, is the exchange no longer safe? Is it true that they are only making it up because they want to control investors' assets ?

This sounds like a conspiracy to investors

It's possible that it could be just an inside job. I think that is what you meant about your post.

I have that same idea when I saw exchanges being hacked month after month. Small one or big ones. Tried to go deeper if it is real but when the news is from another country it is hard to get real information. Mostly they are just gossips or fake news.

So you will just have to rely with your instinct or let the authority in their country do their job. Wait for the final news and there you go, an answer to your question.

We cannot just assume that they did it to themselves to control the market, it could be that the exchange is really hacked due to low security.

Yes this is one issue that is hindering the adoption of crypto, every now and then we get to hear that some exchange, wallet or coins are hacked which is really embarrasing, we even do not know if their is some conspiracy from exchange owners or the hack was real.

I'm sorry to hear that exactly. So thats why exchanger must put their security extremely high and must keep updated. Talk about this Tech Bureau Corp, I havent heard it before and i think it must be a small exchanger. As we know small exchanger is lack of security and not liquid. so better choose Big Exchanger and if you are a hodler, just send back your coin to your wallet to make it more safety.

Hackers are destroying crypto, it already has a bad reputation from criminals using it to trade in secret or launder funds, also there are the scam projects as well. Hackers scare people away from crypto and discourage regulators from approving the ETF

Hacking is one main big factor that hurts cryptocurrency.
But there is also another one or more.
Scam ICO are one of the main reason why there are so many people are now afraid to invest in any project.
Regulation of more countries to BTC and alts are also one thing that causes the market to fall.

In reality, for users the exchanges hacks are not as devastating as they were before, after all, the exchanges usually cover the possible losses of their clients or they are not directly affected. However, the big problem may come the day when hackers not only steal coins and tokens but also all the personal information of users. Names, addresses, history, etc.

well, hacking is not only happened on cryptocurrency, But hacking is also a part of the networks. It can be as security tests, for some takings, just for fun, and many other reasons.

There's may some magnetic thing when -hackers- jump into crypto hacking (all of related to Crypto such as exchanges), they take down the systems, and they take the Crypto coins to their hand. Which party can take-back stolen coins? Almost impossible, right? That's really fun for them.

is the exchange no longer safe? Is it true that they are only making it up because they want to control investors' assets ?

Hmmm... a bit hard to answer, but in fact, few exchanges untouched yet by hackers. Except the bolded one is the cause.  Grin  Grin

In the end, our safe created by our-self. I agree with this:

indeed this always becomes everyone's question, but this is the risk in exchange, so don't keep your assets for too long in exchange. if you have finished trading, then immediately move your assets into a personal wallet.

It's been speculated a lot in recent years that exchanges will use the idea of getting hacked to cover up other forms of fraud. Jordan Belfort, a huge pessimist when it comes to crypto "currencies" (not blockchain) states in the video shown below around 12:00 and in another spot that he believes alot of the crypto hacks of exchanges have been used as a cover up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F2b42wah0Y

I have never heard of this exchange that you speak of but keep in mind that only a small % of the crypto exchanges in the world are watched over and regulated by branches of government, most being in the USA. Exchange hacks have become less and less prevalent in big markets but still a huge downfall in smaller markets like latin america or parts of asia.

Another thing to keep in mind is that several so called "youtube personalities" have come out and said that they were hacked, I think some of them did this just because they didn't want to be held liable for taxes.

If you ask about a security system in the world of the network there may not be any web or application that is truly safe if it is still connected to the Internet, they only seek a maximum security system for their site or exchange, Japan has a bad reputation about their security-related exchange , so far Japan. Because previously Japan's exchange was also hacked earlier this year

This sounds like a conspiracy to investors

nothings new, every exchange is susceptible for hacks

its a part of the risk of crypto world

safe is not the right word, rather a minimized flaws of every exchange, security standards are the basics

Conspiracies doesn't have enough evidences proving it and will remain hearsay
