Some apartments have free electricity rolled into your rent. And some companies like Boeing pay your rent and utilities when you relocate to a foreign job.

Thanks everyone for the replies.   This is more of a 'hobby' for me then a money maker because I had the extra hardware laying around doing nothing.  As for 'free power' there is such a thing?  Tongue  .  We'll see how this goes.  Maybe I'll have enough money by the end of the month to buy that Snickers bar I've wanted for awhile now!   Grin

You can make a little if you have less than .13 kw and have some, ok hardware going on with alt-coins. No getting rich quick though  Grin

Just setup my first mining machine and getting about 320M/hs which is pretty good (at least I think) for the rig it's in.

If you want to mine, mine Litecoin or other altcoins with that. You will lose less money that way (unless you have free power).

If you want to make money the most profitable thing you can do with your rig right now is sell it and buy BTC with the proceeds (if you believe BTC will appreciate in value).

Sorry to tell you but the easy mining days are over.  Sad

I have a USB Block Erupter from ASICMINER. It PWNs your mining rig at 350Mh/s and uses way less power (only 2.5 watt). You can get them at around $60 which is probably less than you bought your graphic card for (even then it won't make you money, I just mine for the fun).

Hail everyone!  New to the Bitcoin scene.  Just setup my first mining machine and getting about 320M/hs which is pretty good (at least I think) for the rig it's in.   Hope to learn more from the community here and sorry if I ask a lot of questions, but that's how I learn.  Tks ..
