Haiti called off Sunday's presidential election after violent protests erupted on Friday and the opposition candidate vowed to boycott the vote over alleged fraud.

Pierre Louis Opont, president of Haiti's electoral council, said the runoff vote was being pushed back for security reasons. He did not say when the election, which the U.S. government is helping to fund, would be rescheduled.

The announcement first sparked jubilation among the demonstrators on the streets of the capital Port-au-Prince, but the mood quickly darkened. Gunshots were fired as protesters clashed with police.

Now here is another opportunity for Angela Merkel, to get some media attention. She should invite all these Haitian to live in Germany (all 10 million of them), sponsored by the German tax payer money.

Seriously..  who is really worried about Haiti? Low IQ people will continue fighting among themselves, for the silliest of the reasons. We should stay away from these conflicts and let them sort out the issues among themselves.
