Mine at Jonny's Pool
I have to agree that since there is the TX fees, which can be even as much as 1BTC or more, it makes no sense to mine empty blocks  Huh
Seems so stupid to skip some of the reward. When the block halving happens, the TX fees are going to be even bigger part of the total reward.
U'll find that most of the empty blocks are mined with little time gap from the previous block. The reason is, they just found a block before setting up the unconfirmed Tx list and hence published. they use crap code

... and already 2 of their first 44 blocks are EMPTY blocks.
Antpool mines empty blocks as well.

You would think they would have learned not to do that. Especially since you as well as -ck show that it is possible to always mine full blocks with no negative effect on orphan rate. Don't get it myself because they are throwing away btc in fees that they could have mined.

In their thread here on the forum it was stated that they were mining on f2pool until now but are now in the process of moving all their hash, 72 PH/s, to their own pool.

Although still in china it does mean that one of the largest pools is going to become a lot smaller which is good voor decentralization.
