I am sure you wouldn't want that tag "Happy prison escape" for any national celebration of any nation as this could promote some hate in future generations between the Brits and Indians.

india never actually NEEDED Britain. they were not dependant on britain. thus it was not an event of becoming independent (from a point of dependant)
It makes sense at this level but still, you can agree that despite the irrelevance of the Brits on the Indian soil, India became better at some things due to there presence and they certainly did control the affairs of India where it mattered. This relationship was both exploitational and beneficial as India became better at some things. There with the Brits expulsion, India felt what it was like to be sovereignt and independent wich makes the celebration valid at that point.

With the focus of the thread centered on cryptocurrency, noting the phases of crypto developments in India. It could be drawn that a time would come when the notion of freedom just as a free India  we have today would be the case for crypto enthusiast in the nation. Independence is freedom and freedom is bitcoin.

you do know they were independent for thousands of years before the brits invaded

it should be "happy prison release anniversary"
(im british white, but even i see the irony in calling it an independence day)

What you say is true. This could've been celebrated as a prison release day. The country have wealth, manpower, diverse culture, and so many things that attract the outsiders. Maybe this is true with some people.

Apart from this certain group of people have an understanding that if Brits haven't invaded India, we couldn't have developed ourselves good in education. Maybe I'm wrong, because not everyone accept this. Myself have heard it from old people, and many people say we've got better education system than theirs. I'm among the one who believe that education is good because of Brits.

if you were free for as long as you can remember, and then locked up by someone that came in and put shackles on you.. put rules on you.. and then one day you were no longer under it. thats more like prison release not independence

It is a day of celebration for Indians. We want to remember it as something positive, hence `independence`. Do you think generations to come will get solace in the event if we call it something like `prison release`? lol. I never seen someone questioning same for US's 4th of July celebrations.

Since Bitcoin is being introduced it has been a helping hands to many countries. What i understand is that it cut down the money transfer to another country down. Because sending money to people in another country have so many rules but with bitcoin it process very fas without the delay of payment. And that is why we recognize Bitcoin very well

All that bank of India wanted was crypto ban, but I just like that Indian supreme court made crypto legal in India, it is a good thing, but when I read about the tax of 30%, I am thinking that is too much, this may discourage some people to invest in crypto, or more people may prefer the decentralized way. But that does not it change anything about the legality of crypto in India. I always like crypto adopting counties, India is one of them. Happy independence day to all Indians on this forum.

2022 - This year the taxation on cryptocurrency is announced and till date no legal status of cryptocurrency usage is announced by the government. Yet, India serves to be a strong market for cryptocurrency with increasing usage and users.

HAPPY 75TH INDIA INDEPENDENCE DAY
I feel very touched and amazed that the Indian government does not punish the use of cryptocurrencies in India and the imposition of taxation on cryptocurrencies this year by the Indian government is proof that the Indian government also likes cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin. And hopefully India will become a more developed country and also a country with more cryptocurrency users next year.

A great nation like India deserves to be happy and full on this 75th independence celebration. With the general population of the country climbing and its reputation as an industrial nation, the adoption of bitcoin as an official legal tender is definitely of age.
HAPPY 75thINDEPENDENCE DAY

2021 - During this year Indian government announced it'll create a bill for cryptocurrency. More teams were formed for the same and discussions took place with blockchain and cryptocurrency associated experts.

With India, the adoption of cryptosystem as legal tender will encourage other neighboring countries to consider doing the same which will ease the business flow. The poverty rate and hunger and crime rate will drop drastically because one can with digital access, mine, trade, and earn on the systems platforms. I do believe that if tax is imposed, it won't be as heavy as fiat.
Happy 75th independence day great India.

Happy 75th Independence Day to India. I hope that at the age of 75th independence, India can become a better country and continue to develop. especially in economic sectors such as cryptocurrency regulations that must be clear and the imposition of taxes that are tailored to crypto holders. I believe India is able to make regulations that don't burden anyone, because the cryptocurrency platform allows for several innovations that support India for various sectors of the economy. cryptocurrency should not be banned because this is the future of good payments if managed properly and correctly.
Once again Happy 75th Indian Independence Day.

On this day I would like to add something related to the freedom of money, bitcoin. How the freedom of money have progressed in India with time.

2013 - RBI issued 1st circular on cryptocurrency, mentioning the risks associated with it. This took place as a result of more cryptocurrency exchanges starting its service in India.

2017 - During this time period RBI announced that virtual currencies weren't considered legal tender, because there happened a good increase in the usage of cryptocurrencies as it is the beginning days of Indian population moving towards digital payments.

2018 - By the beginning of 2018 draft scheme was submitted for the ban of cryptocurrencies and this came with the banks stopping the cryptocurrency associated transactions. This caused a big fall in the trading volume on exchanges.

2018 - End of the year #IndiaWantsCrypto became a trend. This campaign was started by the WazirX founder and during the month of July, 2021 the campaign crossed it's 1000 days. More Crypto enthusiasts joined the campaign during those days. Even now the campaign is more strong.

2020 - The ban on banks to conduct transaction associated with cryptocurrency were taken by Supreme Court and this helped in the boom in the crypto market.

2021 - During this year Indian government announced it'll create a bill for cryptocurrency. More teams were formed for the same and discussions took place with blockchain and cryptocurrency associated experts.

2022 - This year the taxation on cryptocurrency is announced and till date no legal status of cryptocurrency usage is announced by the government. Yet, India serves to be a strong market for cryptocurrency with increasing usage and users.
