Won't be long before we are forced out of social guilt to buy National Handcuff Day greetings cards.  I can't wait.

The 'Halo Device' from the movie 'Minority Report' is likely just around the corner.  Sad

suicide jackets have their advantages.

that's where I think the ignorance of the masson and their follower in the west is the more marked with the East, if there is a sword there is a shield, they have still not get this one... and like Bruce Lee said...  Tongue

Think of the fun a hacker could have when they do a perp walk.
Make the entire line of prisoners piss their pants with a touch of a button.

This would be terrible to wear. I hope that they would only use it on rowdy people instead of just everyone who is arrested.

Are you fucking serious? This type of technology shouldn't be used by anyone! I can't believe there are people making apologies for this type of gear being given to the police even now.

I can't imagine any group of voters would support any politician that tries to make it legal for police to drug people who are handcuffed, but then again, there are so many police apologists in this country that this is a frightening product.

The other day in Ottawa a cop slapped cuffs on a 9 year old autistic boy who was having an 'episode' at school.

The handcuffs can deliver electric shocks between 20,000 and 150,000 volts for durations of 0.5 to 10 seconds. Shocks can be triggered remotely from up to 300 feet away, or programmed to happen automatically in a variety of situations such as the detainee stepping outside a boundary.

Yikes. Using electric shocks to ensure that detainees don't cross a boundary. That resembles a dog collar.

lmao, I wouldn't mind THAT kind of maltreatment from a girl but seriously Wink This kind of shit needs to be stopped, it's pretty scary because even people like Bill Maher think somethings very wrong with the world right now when it comes to this kind of stuff, it's going to be one of those rare moment where capitalists and anti-capitalists completely agree on something.

That is a disturbing piece of technology, I hope they don't bring it over here but I wouldn't put it past them, I honestly believe guys that you are going to come to a point where you can't let the police take you in alive, who knows what the fuck they'll do to you with this stuff, even if you're in for a petty crime or just being held for questioning etc. they'll be able to shock you or drug you at the push of a button.

And then jail you for drug use, or send you to rehabilitation or something. : /
But when I saw this thread I thought it was about this type of handcuffs:

Sadistic Police Likely Salivating Over New Handcuffs that Will Shock and Drug the Restrained
2/20/15 – Today is National Handcuff Day. How will you be celebrating?

Quote
Besides cops, handcuff companies, and BDSM enthusiasts, hardly anyone will cheer this potent symbol of state oppression.

Handcuffs provide an easy pathway for police brutality. Whether it’s beating children, raping women, or garden variety savagery, cops routinely carry out violence on people while they are handcuffed.

Alas, simple handcuffs are no longer enough for the militarized police state. In the near future, authorities may have “augmented detainee restraints” that deliver electric shocks, sedatives, and paralytic drugs to detainees. Scottsdale Inventions, based in Arizona, filed a patent application for just such a device.

It doesn’t take much to imagine sicko cops using the handcuffs as a torture device when no one is looking.

Drugs are delivered through a moveable needle or gas injection system. A great deal of fear and anxiety can be induced in a person who is told they could be shocked or drugged at any moment.

Whoever came up with National Handcuffs Day did not do it on Positive Thinking Day.
