If you consider the rise of price of bitcoin in 2016 and the current valuation it is a real possibility that the price could cross the two thousand barrier with this run.I am sure that the price could sustain that valuation and it will not drop like it dropped during 2014 .The price of thousand dollars on the first day of 2017 is really a good sign for bitcoin.

This is an attainable value. I don't think the price will reach a range of four or five thousand dollars this year. BY 2020, I believe bitcoin will be trading with the value of $10,000 price levels for sure. We need need to ignore that the price movement of bitcoin's always following exponential growth. So, slow progress could not be expected for bitcoin price appreciations. Rapid growth in both bitcoin price levels and mass adoption of it are highly possible in coming days.

You really cannot determine the feasibility of the price touching $2000 as who in their right mind saw the price crossing 1 dollar in the first place and look at the price of the coin now and so nothing is impossible when it comes to bitcoin and i do expect a stable growth rather than a jump to $2000.

Nothing is impossible i do agree that in the first place we cant really say that the price of the bitcoin reaches $1 so why not it will reach to $2000 very soon but we could say that it is not really easy to get that kind of price of bitcoin if there is something big happen this year then big pump coming but if there is a big problem coming this year then that is a bad news though.!

It is feasible. No one here knows what they're talking about, including me. This is the speculation section after all. $2000 is a definite possibility, but so is $200 if we actually have a bubble that ends up popping. Think about that.

so maybe it is best if you educate yourself before saying things like what you said and if you look around and read kiklo's post history you see that he is a troll, spreading FUD about bitcoin with so many false information.

people say anything is possible and that is true but there is always a big if behind every one of them. and yes $200 is possible only if 10 big countries such as US, Canada, China, Japan, Russia,... announce that bitcoin is illegal and we will kill anybody who is using it. if that happens price will go to $200 otherwise we will see a continued rise towards $2000

For me there is no cashing out, if btc hits 2000 great i can buy a lot of stuff, if it goes back to 200 dam can only buy less things, either way there is no cashing out for me up or down. I will now use btc as part of my daily living.

2000 seems to be too far away. Let's stay realistic.
My guess 2000 dollar is a price we may see in the halving in 2020. For 2017 I don't expect a real rally except of december, since that seems a common thing this last years.

I don't think the price will double this year at 2000USD, what I can say it should probably be more around 1000USD to 1500USD. I think some events that could happen in 2017 can boost the price as the same thing happened in 2016.

i think this wont happen im experience a long confirmation time when im withdrawing today i think it almost 6hrs before i get my withdrawal on bitcoin i think its because of the traffic that cashing out or receiving bitcoin from other user. and its been affecting the bitcoin system thats why its been slowdown this time.

last year price started from $450 and the year before that price was $200 and if you loop past the MtGox fake pump you can see before that price was rising the same way every year too.

so i would not be surprised at all if we finish 2017 with $2000 or above.

I doubt it will reach 2000 usd per coin due to greed.

I mean there will be some kind of theft and or closer of the markets and thus dumping btc and taking us on a down trend for the forseeable future.

It would be possible without the exchanges or markets going down though.

Secondly, it is very hard that bitcoin will be reached at $2000 in 2017. You already know that in this year, many chances was here, because of Halving, but instead of it, bitcoin couldn't cross at $1000. So don't think high speculation about bitcoin's price. But i think in the coming year, within 2 or 3 months bitcoin price suddenly down. Same like this year, in the started, bitcoin was under $300.

in 2017 price will continue rising, there is no reason for not rising. everything looks good and there are more good news to come. and price has not risen crazy so i don't see any reason why it should fall either.
