It's amazing how Almighty God kept us through out this time of 2024 without no record of bad happenings. Instead downloading us more knowledge and wisdom in taking bitcoin  to a higher level, and I pray for more years and grace to attain greater height in our hustle in Jesus name amen. Happy New Year to all Bitcoiners, although I am very late, may this New Year's wishes be good for everyone.
 I think 2025 will be much better than the way we spent 2024, because in 2025 we may see another new record for the price of Bitcoin.
However, this auspicious Bitcoin price record can bring success to everyone's life.

I did put out a thread for a happy new year, that was seconds kicking into the new year2025 by forum time but, I guess it didn’t stand because this thread existed through 2024 and stays authentic.

Be that as it may, I’ll like to which is here;


While the resolutions are going on, it’s my hope that you all find the strength to keep and follow through on what you would decide to do this year. Let’s find great means to use time, succeed together and be better humans.

The reason for us to gather here is bitcoin and we are having another privilege to mark and celebrate the new year together in this journey of decentralization, here is to a p2p network in digital currency which bitcoin is the main reason for this, am wishing us all a prosperous new year celebration and today being the first day of the month of January year 2025 shall be a fruitful one all through, this platform serves an avenue for many discoveries, learning and growth in diverse ways.

I understand that everyone wants to wish a new year, but does it make sense to create their own thread and all in meta board to wish a happy new year? This thread seems the most popular one. So, why not post in a single thread and wish others? If I am not wrong, duplicate thread is not allowed. I wonder why moderators did not remove these threads? There are three more threads except this one.

It feels good reading through your post @babo and I say to you and everyone happy new year. Your efforts and that of others have lead us to where we are, a point in history where governments and institutions are embracing Bitcoin because they now realize how reliable Bitcoin have become, thanks to its open source status. It is my expectations that this year will be great even for Bitcoin when we will see more and more people joining Bitcoin rather than opposing it. Least I forget, the price will not be left out in the journey of making history this year as I expect, just like everyone of us here, that Bitcoin will create a new ATH this year.

In 2024 we lost some Bitcointalk members who where so dedicated in making Bitcointalk forum and educative and exciting place to be we say may there soul rest in peace we will always remember you all as legends who has played a part in keeping this forum going.

As we step into this 2025 I pray it will favour us with good health and we all will be alive to see 2026, once again happy New year I love you all.

Yes, it's a good news and a bad one at the same time. We definitely want everyone to adopt Bitcoin and know about it but we want to tell people about its decentralized nature that allows anyone to use it without any boundaries. But, things are more probably moving towards centralization, however it's still good that Trump's government isn't anti-crypto like that Biden's government and that's more than enough for the community at this time.

There's chance that in future most Bitcoin will be in control of the huge and giant investment companies like Black Rock, Mirco Strategy and others that have those ETFs and who knows there comes a time when a normal person may not understand the difference between a Bitcoin and a Bitcoin ETF. We can't really do anything other than educating those people that Bitcoin is still decentralized and open source by nature, and it will always be that way.

Happy new year! 2024 was definitely an exciting year for Bitcoin, probably the best single year for Bitcoin since the earliest years.

I am worried that in the process of Bitcoin becoming a lot more mainstream, a lot of the Bitcoin economy has become more centralized via things like ETFs. (Some in the Trump administration are even talking about FDIC-insured banks being able to accept BTC and pay interest on it.) This centralization may work against the open-source ethos we care about. For example, if one ETF has all of its BTC stolen, I could see all of the ETFs getting together to fork Bitcoin and undo this theft (like ETH/ETC), and maybe they could get away with this, at least in terms of the popular perception. I suppose the only way to address this is to educate people, and also to improve trustless wallets to make them better competitors to centralized solutions.

Looking forward, it's definitely a very good thing that the Biden administration will be gone, since they were unbelievably anti-crypto. That said, I feel that the price has probably gone up too much. Here's the scenario I see as most likely at this point, though it'll probably be hilariously wrong: Since there's no particular catalyst that I can see, the price will slowly stair-step down to the $60ks; then in the last quarter of the year, there will be some recovery, and we'll end the year in the $80ks.

Hey Babo we just have few hours to roll down to 2025, it's remarkable year all these while and like I know, 2024 is a great and has given us the edge to enjoy the exponential increase in bitcoin. This doesn't only prove to bitcoin critics how useful and resourceful bitcoin has been all these while but has also broken the record to them that what they were doing was just a waste if their energy, ceasing their opportunity to have ventured into bitcoin at the earliest time.

thank you all, my wish is due to the fact that we started many years ago with a simple compiler, gcc created by Richard Stallman and a series of brilliant programmers
and now we are forcefully entering the financial world with Bitcoin, which is an open source project!

As we stand on the threshold of another new year, This year we have lost some important and very talented members to this forum. Who were much more important figures for this forum. We miss these members who have already left this forum, some of them are: o_e_l_e_o, light_warrior and other members.

Another thing to remember about this year is that the price of Bitcoin has increased by the most this year, even touching $100,000 this year. This year there was a Bitcoin halving (4th Halving) and this year there was a Bitcoin ETF.

Everyone, go out there any set some goals for yourself for 2025.

Hopefully, you've met most of your 2024 goals.

For me I never believed that Bitcoin will be a well known and generally accepted currency and asset. I thought it was a scam so I did everything possible to avoid it. But my introduction to this forum changed my perspective and now I am a die hard fan of Bitcoin.

Happy New in advance to everyone since we have not reached the new year in my country. I hope that this year will bring good news, mass adoption and prosperity to the Bitcoin space. Hopefully there will be less attack on Bitcoin and more favourable policies this year.

God did not give me the fortune of being as talented as you, but I constantly try to do the best for myself and my family. As a citizen, I love my country and find life in the touch of its air and soil. I continue to accumulate Bitcoin through small efforts and although I started much later, I think Bitcoin is still in its infancy. I consider accumulating Bitcoin as financial freedom for my future. And how could I forget, I also wish all bitcoiners, miners node runners, and enthusiasts of privacy and Decentralisation out there a happy new year too.

Well frankly speaking anytime I think about open source especially Linux software, the very first name that comes to mind is o_e_l_e_o so sad he had to leave though. Well before I joined the forum I actually was more of a closed source guy (literally  a windows guy) with an average technical knowledge until I got to understand from Leo and other reputable members back then why open source softwares are important..

2024 was a beautiful year on this forum we scaled through A couple of DDos attacks on BPIP, scam post bursting by some scammers and many more.
Hopefully 2025 gets better.

Bitcoin is the reason blockchains are existing. Its creation led to the creation of exchanges and many jobs. If you hold it and you wait, you will not lose. It is a hedge against inflation till today. I am always thinking that anyone that is still a bitcoin critic is only being deceitful about what he is saying about bitcoin. Bitcoin even increase electricity usage, making miners and electricity companies to make money. Many people are employed today because of what Satoshi Nakamoto created in 2009.

as you well know, I'm not a person who frequents this forum often, I'm a little shy and more "oriented" towards the local forum, italian of course

however this year I felt the need to discuss with you, I now felt the need to wish you a happy new year

not a normal or classic wish, a heartfelt wish

my path starts from linux and the open source environment, in the past in the various LUGs (linux user groups) I participated and fought to bring open source to the world

from a simple GCC compiler made by stallman we have come to have a free operating system and a whole series of tools and suites that make us free

I would never have thought in my militancy that even the economic aspect could be affected by our way of thinking

now we also have "open hardware" objects so I understand very well that bitcoin, open source, was an obvious and necessary step

I realize that I didn't immediately believe in the project, but since 2017 I have become a fervent acolyte who tries to "make people understand" that the bitcoin project can be their friend and not their enemy




so my happy new year wishes go like this, I wish you a more open source new year
