I have used trezor for a few weeks now and I love it so much, I have decided to move everything from electrum and paper wallets into trezor.
Their coin-splitting tool (BTC/BCC) also worked like a charm for me, although I saw a lot of users complaining about it.

If you're going to store large amounts of btc and you're fairly new to bitcoin, then yes. Storing offline is recommended, if you're new or not.
Of course, these are two best hardware wallets. For online wallets I strongly recommend Xapo or Blockchain.info theyre the best.

If you have more than one BTC, then I would recommend either a Ledger Blue or Trezor. Ledger Blue is still in the pre-order phase, but you can get one by September 30, if you make a pre-order now.
Hardware wallets are great because they are safe and we can easily store our money or cryptocurrencies there and they have a very user friendly interface which is really good for a safe and cold storage.
I own both a Ledger Nano and a Trezor and I think both products are great, I never had any problems with either of them so far.
Most users above have recommend trezor which really is a very good wallet but the company sells only one model and imo, in not a so competitive price. From my point of view I would propose the ledger company because offers more than one products so for every pocket. Therefore, according the money you are willing to spend or the specifications you ask from a hardware wallet you can choose the model you will buy.
Trezor without a doubt, solid support - honest and transparent staff - top tier technical abilities.

Main ones are definitely trezor or ledger.
I'd recommend trezor for long term because it is obviously looks a lot cooler than ledger nano, which just looks like a USB and I think it is also waterproof, pressure proof and everything else proof to some degree
You can also store your wallet recovery seed i think, using cryptosteel which is amazing.
Completely offline storage, no need to worry about hacks at all.

Its also cheap, hardware wallets are quite expensive depends from what part of the world u are.

Trezor is a good option.
The Ledger Nano S and Trezor are both good choices for a hardware wallet. The Trezor 2 is also going to be coming out fairly soon I think but not sure exactly when that will be. You may want to think about waiting for that if you choose to go with a Trezor.

If you are looking to save your bitcoin in hard ware wallet, you could choose ledger nano, trezor, keepkey or other hardware wallets. If you looking to secure bitcoin only means you could choose paper wallet or simply download any desktop wallet and keep safe your private key. thats enough and it will be secured always.
Trezor wallet is actualy definitively the best hardware wallet choice.., even if it's not the cheapest one. It also offer the handeling for several altcoins: ethereum with a myetherwallet interface, dash, zcash..

If you want to make transfers every once in a while, stick with the paper wallets.

Sorry for the newbie question but is when I am offline then I need to go online with my wallet to do any transaction and if i want to secure my wallet again i need to go offline again correct?
I have couple of bitcoins on xapo ( And I dont trust them that why I want to do secure offline ) So I want to secure my bitcoins and not to do any transactions, what is your best suggestion for me?

You can choose paper one, its means you print it on the piece of paper, or a hardware wallet: for example trezor or Ledger, as CrackedLogic already said.
There is another option, of choosing online wallets in different types for example Armory or Electrum.
I also can suggest just using blockchain for making a wallet, however Xapo is also a good wallet
