It's new website, where the first endorsement happened 5 years ago. I would suggest to wait a month (while both Kamala and Trump supporter share this website) and then see the result to reduce the bias.

This is dubious, I am trying to trace this address. Has Kemala been storing BTC since 2017? There is a balance of 454,039 since then. After that there were some BTC additions but they were so small it looked like a faucet. I am suspicious, especially since Kemala Haris did not give an official statement. The perception of the amount of Bitcoin received also does not describe many supporters. I think the current condition is just a provocation to get more supporters for Kemala.  IMO

I suggest you to re-read OP's thread and the website. Neither of them claim Kamala hold BTC since 2017. What actually happen is someone who own Bitcoin sign a message with their address which state support for certain president candidate and submit it on the website.

Thank you, you explained it perfectly.

Owning Bitcoin does not mean owning a lot; to sign a message, ownership is unnecessary. Anyone can sign, and the OP statistics look like the most common vote manipulation to me. In the same way, you can conclude the leadership in the elections if you compare the number of views of Trump's interview and his number of likes compared to Kamala.
Now people manipulate any advantage of something.
One general facts about these men, they've influence and we totally understand the fleeting directives of the system. Manipulation is real and frustrating when you're the victim. So it's advisable to always be on the winning side and avoid troubles. Bitcoin is far classify to be a trend in the space, it's consider to be very important for the space, owning up to the desirable measures and following up every parting criteria. Everyone has a choice, there's basic factors wrapping up together to constitute good meaning. Harris holds 454.07 BTC and that puts him to be huge investor for the space, a very considerate one at that.

You have raised a good point from this, he definitely trying to fake this as the website is new too not so much trusted as other members already mentioned some trusted sites and the address with most BTC (454 BTC) received them in 2017 as you said and it received these 454 BTC all at once means who give such big donations all at ones. There should be more than one transactions that add upto make 454 BTC but this address don't belong to her and as you said she did not make any official statement.

I was also stunned to read the topic that huh did Kamala have a BTC endorsement thing ongoing and how come I don't know about it hehe. I doubt the topic will be deleted if the OP did this on purpose.

It’s a platform that allows you to endorse your candidate with Bitcoin signatures.

Currently, Harris has received 454.07774504 BTC in endorsements, significantly surpassing Trump’s 4.77287924 BTC.

At the same time, Bitcoin’s price has climbed to 73,000 USD, bringing the total endorsement amount on the platform to 33.5 million USD.

All addresses, plaintext messages, and signatures involved in endorsements are public and fully verifiable.

The more Bitcoin that participates, the more representative the endorsements become.

I guess this is more realistic figures which those candidate gets https://www.ccn.com/news/crypto/crypto-industry-donations-2024-presidential-race/

If you show up those article and figures its like they are doing some mind conditioning that Harris is more supported well by bitcoin or crypto users due to that figures you showed.

Most provably that it didn't reach that far yet, but still its good that we see bitcoin play good rule and they already try to use it as currency and maybe their view towards bitcoin will be changed due to that matter then totally open their door for possible total acceptance.

As it was said, the project of the OP is like a fan creation, so it wouldn't provide " the proper" info, per se.
Though, still kudos for your article.

that's interesting. Would be cool to see the signing of messages solved again for other than legacy address in bitcoin core.

Op i feel the subject of your thread is misleading and i don't know if you did it on purpose, as a clickbait, your subjects reads: 'kamala holds...'. But that is not what the context is about and the context in itself is not really important in the grand scheme of things. The election is already very close and i think we should be tired of the debates right now and just wait and see the outcome and what it brings for us all.
He likely did it on purpose because if you read the post, he explained it very well but the topic is misleading.

But for what.. Even if it's done on purpose?
Just to promote it?   Grin Or it's a simple foolery..

Donald Trump received 6 signatures while Kamala Harris received 4 signatures. Just that one signature address has such huge amount of bitcoin.

Multimillionaire communists supporting Kamala, nothing new.

If you are referring to that particular website, none of those bitcoins actually go to either candidate. In fact, I don't think the bitcoins are even spent or leave the "donors" wallets - it looks to me like they just sign a message from addresses they control and picking their preferred candidate in the messages.

Anyway, by the looks of it, it's just a website created for fun.
What we are referring to is the signature support and nothing more than that. The site is about individual showing supporting by signing a message with their bitcoin address.

I do think it will bring us something for sure. Preferably - a signal for the bull.
And the speculation about it won't stop till the event finally ends, thus, the show must go on  Roll Eyes

Kamala wants to finish implementing CBDCs, contrary to Trump who wants to ban them, and force it to become increasingly difficult to make any kind of bitcoin transaction without KYC, in other words ever more giant steps towards a financial Big Brother. Surely the commie who supports Kamala and has so much bitcoin is not worried at all about Kamala's policies because he will not suffer them, what she will continue to mainly burden is the middle class.

Don't you think Trump would see CBDC as good too, as he is very protective and more isolationist in nature in many of his policies?  Roll Eyes

It is rubbish in the way it turned out to be. Just 10 signatures. Donald Trump received 6 signatures while Kamala Harris received 4 signatures. Just that one signature address has such huge amount of bitcoin. But if just only 10 people have signature there, can you see how rubbish it is. If people are donating bitcoin to the US presidential candidates, Trump will receive the highest support undoubtedly.

Yeah, sounds about not right, but, only time will tell how it will change on that website particularly  Roll Eyes

If we convert that to Bitcoin right now, that’s around $32 million, but can we trust that website?

I mean, there are reliable sites that track the funds raised for both candidates, but they only show USD amounts, no crypto.

https://www.fec.gov/
https://www.opensecrets.org/

You don’t need to trust that website. The address, plaintext, and signature are all public. You can easily verify them using wallet software like Electrum.

That is not the funds they raised, but rather Bitcoin holders expressing their political intentions.
