What a sham Bitcoin gold turned out to be.

Has anyone actually successfully claimed their bitcoin gold? Does it even exist?
Bitcoin Gold didn't have enough people trading that coin because it is not officially being used through their blockchain. Once they do that then the price should go up some.

Bitcoin was already acting like digital gold.  Why did we need Bitcoin Gold?

What were the main differences between Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin?

Take a look here https://bitcoingold.org
Possibility of mining with gpu
Difficulty adjustment every block
Replay protection
But the best part is that you could trade it with Bitcoin  Wink

I did, i received all my coins for free in my wallet, and why shouldn't i claim them? they were free, i dont see anything wrong in just claiming what i diserved..
They are free money, nobody rejects free money, do you? But it is true, bitcoin gold is useless, it doesnt has any function, it doesnt do anything and the price is only going down hour by hour, i was lucky by selling all my bitcoin gold at $350 each one.

It'll likely be a few weeks before the full mainnet is active. They update their blog fairly regularly, fwiw: https://bitcoingold.org/blog/

I think claiming our Bitcoin gold should be possible in the beginning of November, first week. The developers took too much time in contrast with Bitcoin cash...

At 120$ it is not worth collecting... Still better than nothing though.

Indeed, having free +$100 is better than nothing, also it can grow for a while like cash  Wink
Aren't we able to redeem our bitcoin gold right now, I thought that the chain was split and the software would have been developed, but in some places I've read that the coins would be accessible after 1st November but it can also take a long time as stated. But since I was having my bitcoins under my control at the time of the fork so I can wait for the wallet launch and then I'll have my bitcoin gold.

there are no wallets. there is no chain. because of that no one can claim squat. if it isn't a huge waste of time then i guess they're still in their huge premine phase and then they'll unleash it when they have something to dump.

i'm hoping this is gonna slowly kill off the fork trend.
