Given their highly recommended status and positive reviews, I decided to reach out to Omega Crypto Recovery services in the hope of recovering my lost funds.
They informed me they are able to recover my lost funds and this is the email they sent me:
I don’t believe all the positive reviews that I see online, because most of those reviews are paid reviews. Scammers do even pay people just to make positive reviews of any site or app that they are making use of, so whenever you see those reviews, don’t be confident that they are real, you should know that all those recovery services are scam, they are just planning to add to your loss.

"The scammer's security is very right. IP is highly protected but during the recovery process we can hack their data and disclose to you who they are. Recovery with us takes 4-6 hours. All you have to pay is the registration fee on Blockchain to enable us to cooperate with Blockchain for a successful recovery. Because without the help of Blockchain recovery cannot be possible."
All those recovery services just want to take from you, they will ask you to pay some amount just to recover your coin back, but immediately you pay that, they will give excuse and will ask you to pay more money. That’s how they are going to keep on taking from you and will never recover your coin for you.

All what I will recommend is just for you to accept your loss and move on. If you are trying to recover your loss, then you will just end up losing more, because they are also scammers.

I get why people are skeptical, especially with so many scammy ""recovery"" services out there, and it's hard to trust anyone after being scammed. But not all recovery services work the way you're imagining. Some, like the legit ones, don't hack accounts. If needed, they rely on tracing transactions, protective measures, and even legal strategies. I had a friend who recovered some stolen Ethereum through a white recovery service, so it does happen, though it's rare and depends on timing and circumstances.

One interesting thing about cryptonetic whitehats Services is its successful fee model. They only charge you if they recover something. That's different from the upfront payments that most scammers demand, and it shows they work with you.
Being a newbie doesn’t mean you should be ignorant, many people here in this forum are experienced Crypto enthusiast, they know scam when they see it and they are always advising other to always avoid scams.

No any crypto recovery website will be trusted in this forum or in the general crypto world because we all know what crypto transaction is and how it is been done; if you didn’t take caution and mistakenly send crypto to scammer or someone you don’t know, then your money is gone forever, I don’t see any method that will be used to track it back to you. All these people that are claiming to help you recover your coins, are also looking for way to get access to your wallet for further scam; therefore, be wise.

I haven't tried the Omega crypto recovery because I have not experienced such kind of hack to my wallet. In case of any consolation, it is possible they can reveal the identity of the hackers, but I doubt they could hack the funds from the hackers wallet into yours as they did initially.

Also, they stated in the mail I read that they can only reveal the culprits information but you might still have to spend much more than was stolen from you. It's good to always be cautious and avoid such mistakes or loopholes that can be exploited.

Any recovery service who claims to hack the scammer back and get your money back is 100% scammer.  I know a some good services they are not recovery services, they call themselves Crypto rescue services. what they do is if you are about to receive a payment in your hacked wallets (lets say your hacked wallet is eligible for an airdrop) what these rescue service can do is that they can help you withdraw your tokens before scammer. they  use scripts so they can withdraw tokens faster then the scammers. that is the only thing a rescuer can do for you. there is no way to bring your money back that are already stolen by hackers.

You're 100% right about this although I do often see people wrongly using the terms 'recovery' and 'rescue' interchangebly. In this instance, the linked site is offering a rescue service as you describe.

No, it is not that it is hard to trust anyone. In the cryptocurrency space, the only person you can trust is yourself and that's if you don't want to be another victim of online shady acts. Besides, this is one of the reasons why people are advised not to trust centralized platforms because crypto scams are operated in different ways (one of the FTX issues)

But not all recovery services work the way you're imagining. Some, like the legit ones, don't hack accounts. Yes, there are legit recovery services Chainalysis is the only one I believe offers genuine service, and every recovery service that's not acknowledged by the authority are scammer because the service involves working with the authority.

Why do I have the impression that your purpose was to promote this shady recovery service here?

Exactly since how the fuck they can recover those funds while crypto transaction is irreversible. Those trying to scam using crypto recovery service really thinks that people are so fool to fall from this obvious schemes. But the real fact is many people are aware that this kind of service is just a scam.

There's good site explaining about this so hopefully people could learn from this https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/verify/scams-verify/cryptocurrency-recovery-services-bitcoin-scams/536-4ededd2e-d01a-402a-af8a-9c00712375b9

So its better for those desperate people to avoid using this services since they might just lose their money for second time around.

The scammers had busy spamming this forum with scam recovery service posts but moderators are deleting his scam posts. Do not fall for such a scam recovery service.
Haha nice script by the OP btw. This kind of post thinks users here are idiot to fall for such modus.

If a user is victim here, I would be gladly to help him out and the first thing OP did was post a recommendation from a recovery services instead of pushing his problem with links showing how does his fund got stolen. Thats a typical behavior of someone that has been victimized not like this one.

Don't fall for it. You have been scammed once, don't get scammed again while trying to recover the assets that you lost in the first scam because it's not possible for any service provider to hack into the scammer's account and recover your funds, if they were able to do such things, they wouldn't need to provide such services for a few bucks as they could get into any account and steal funds from people or even from lost wallets that aren't accessible anymore.

All they are trying to do is to get some money out of you, that's it. As soon as you pay them, you won't see them back, they won't respond to your emails, their support team won't know you anymore or even respond to your messages, and you will be lost as to what you should do now because you were trying to recover your lost funds and lost more funds in the process.

If you have made the effort to recover your wallet and failed by yourself then chances of getting full access is zero unless password recovery of brute force is used with these common passwords such as qwerty, password etcetera

Otherwise 95% of these recovery services are for certain just a scam and waste of time and money!!!

The crypto recovery scammer is really brave since he send his coins to Binance.
So this is a Binance BTC wallet?
That address mostly send the coins to 35gQshZJnTGVGM97pj2arQ9P5rPNAsMEto and then 35gQshZJnTGVGM97pj2arQ9P5rPNAsMEto send to Binance deposit address.

No one can verify if different address is controlled by different person, but the fact there are many different addresses send the coins to this scammer.

Since you're not one of the victim and there's no proof if he really a scammer, I don't think there's need to take further action...

There is one tough hard lesson that I learnt in crypto space, once you fall victim to any scam, just believe that what is gone is gone, if you try to run after what you've already lost you will end up losing even more.

I hope this get into your skull my dear, or you will have more sad stories like this to share on this forum, once its gone there is no coming back, and you are also vulnerable if you keep screaming to everyone's face that you lost some money, it's a weak point.

I believe this is what attracts even more scammers to you, claiming that they can help you get your money back, it's a big lie, once you lost a crypto asset it's gone for good,

These services have nothing to do with reality. I mean if you want to risk your phone or even your wallet you can surely go and have a try but I haven't seen even a single success story with these type of scam recovery services.

They just either will get your money and you'll get nor fruitfulness in regard with your results. Or they'll just back your system or the block chain security will catch you and they'll block your account. All these is the negative impacts of using these services I haven't seen the positive ones so far.

Or you input your seed phrase on such website? Unless you downloaded and run that file on your computer, i don't think it's some kind of malware, but yeah better to take it as such and reformat your computer will be the best solution for that.

About the recovery service online, 90% of them are scam, unless they posted on this forum, build up their reputation by experience, and people recommends them, which that mentioned service doesn't have so i will avoid them doing any business.

I completely understand this now. If there were services that were able to hack into the scammer's account and get the money - then they would hack into everyone's account.
It is not possible to just hack into anyone's account and recover/steal their coins; the victims have to make a mistake and be loose on their security, before they can possibly be hacked. Anyone who is promising you that they can recover your lost coins is a scammer, Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed and your best chance is to report the case to the authorities, though in most cases they cannot also be of help to you and can only try if it is a large amount you lost.

I don't even know the worth amount of atoms coins that was stolen from you. That you went ahead and looking for recovery services. In fact, who even told you that there are recovering services? If someone advised you to go for recovering services claiming that your stolen coins will get back to you, I will simply say the person is misleading you. And if you follow its advice, you will definitely be scammed because I never heard that stolen coins have been recovered before.

I want you to get it clear that all these service sites or people claiming that they can recover stolen coins are scammers. Nothing like services that are doing recovering services, don't be deceived.

I will not advise you to fall for this the second time under scam, there is no such service for recovering any lost financial asset in cryptocurrency, don't let them decieve you, once you're hacked and they stole from you, all you should do is to leave the wallet and make use of another and then learn your lessons, those that promised recovery service will always want to earn from you by telling you they can offer you what is not possible.

The crypto recovery scammer is really brave since he send his coins to Binance.

Tracing the coin is the work of chain analytic companies.
Even if I did pay a chain analytic company to trace the coin and then hire a lawyer to sue, I still might not win the case. The scammer could claim that I gave him/her the seed phrase.
And even if I did win the case, I still would have to collect the money. Just because a person wins a lawsuit doesn't mean the other person will readily hand over the money.
In the above scene, there are a lot of "IF's."
And I'm sure doing this would cost a small fortune.
I haven't heard someone win over compromised coins, but yeah your conspiracy might be true since Bitcoin is still new for Average Joe and the government is moving to tightening the laws. Bitcoin might be treated as property/commodity, you might able to claim your coins, but the drawback is you must report all of your crypto holdings.

Get a lawyer and report to the police or crime investigation team in your country. If you follow such a process, there is still a chance that you may not get the lost funds back.

So an attorney would have the knowledge and skill to trace that transaction and be able to get the name and address of the scammer?
Tracing the coin is the work of chain analytic companies. You can try and trace it yourself to a centralized exchange with a tool. But if the person do not send it to a centralized exchange, consider the money gone, especially if it is a low amount of money that you will spend more much than if investigating the scammer.

You have to accept the fact that your coins are irretrievably lost. If you continue to look for similar services that promise you to get your money back, then you should be prepared for the fact that your losses will only increase.
In order for the OP not to lose more money in the pursuit of his lost money, it's better that he should accept the fact that he's been scammed and move on, although it's painful especially if the stolen coins is of high value. The way that crypto is structured, I believe that the moment another person is in possession of your seed phrase and moved your coins, it'll be next to impossible to recover it, so I don't really believe in these so called crypto recovery services, because I've never heard about anybody that they've helped recover their stolen cryptos.

Anybody that tries to sell such a service to you is actually trying to scam you even more. As someone who has been in this situation before, the scammers are most likely the ones disguising as a recovery service provider to take even more money from you. There is no recovery services in crypto except for centralized stablecoin projects with administrative controls that are built directly into their token contracts to freeze transfer from a particular account and even at that, they can only freeze the token, they can't move it from one wallet to another because an action like that needs to be signed with a private key.

My advice: Make peace with your lost assets because there's a tiny chance that you'd ever get them back without fallimg for more scams.

Yes you're right I thought they were talking about an unknown Blockchain.com service. Because hackers would use this platform to hold "their" funds. But it's just some garbage talk in order to get more money IMO.

Recovery services like these are a SCAM. There Is no magic "hack" to get your coins back. Think about it - if they could hack anyone, why dont they just steal everyone's crypto instead of offering "recovery" service?

I do not use crypto recovery service because most of them are scammers. I have also noticed that most of the people who post about crypto recovery service in the form of questions are scammers seeking for data to perfect their schemes as well as monitor public opinion/perception. Send them an email and tell them that you have no issues paying any fee but that will be after your crypto has been recovered. If they disagree and insist that you the fee in full then you know that they cannot be trusted. I am not an expert in crypto recovery but this is the one of the options I may turn to first. Another is to send emails to other crypto recovery organizations. Please note that you should not give money first until the service has been delivered which is the recovery of your crypto.

Has anyone used Omega Crypto Recovery?

No I have not.  It is most definitely a scam! There is no such thing as a "blockchain registration fee" and what will they "hack" even if it is true that they cooperate with Blockchain?

Do you believe what they have to say?

No. From what you wrote, not a single word.

They informed me they are able to recover my lost funds and this is the email they sent me:

"The scammer's security is very right. IP is highly protected but during the recovery process we can hack their data and disclose to you who they are. Recovery with us takes 4-6 hours. All you have to pay is the registration fee on Blockchain to enable us to cooperate with Blockchain for a successful recovery. Because without the help of Blockchain recovery cannot be possible."

After a scam/theft is before another scam. What those idiots wrote to you, is so much bullshit in so few sentences that my brain already hurts. Seriously, this is just another attempt to scam you because you're desperate to get back what has been stolen from you. You try to clinge to every little hope that someone throws at you.

What do you think why they want a payment upfront? I know the answer and it's not to cover their hard hacking work. Don't fall into another scam trap!

Do you believe what they have to say?

Absolutely not, it's total bullshit.

The scammers had busy spamming this forum with scam recovery service posts but moderators are deleting his scam posts. Do not fall for such a scam recovery service.

A scammer gained access to my Cosmostation wallet seed phrase after I visited untrustworthy websites that infected my computer. At least that is what I believe.
This scammer took all of my ATOMs.

Given their highly recommended status and positive reviews, I decided to reach out to Omega Crypto Recovery services in the hope of recovering my lost funds.
