Education had eradicated poverty in the past in Africa, when available jobs were waiting for graduates, immediately they graduate they were given employment in management positions. That was when there were more companies with fewer graduates to fill sensitive positions that required professionals, they get the jobs and we're paid very well, fast-forward to present day supply has become greater than demand, so we have thousands
graduating every year and joining millions that have already graduated, all of them seeking for the same jobs that is either taken or not available. Most African countries are very backward in terms of development, they're not industrialized, no basic infrastructures, so graduates are quite hopeless and poor, roaming the streets with their CV, because there's no job. Skills acquisitions is the only way to survive in these underdeveloped African countries, tertiary education doesn't guarantee a good life anymore.

Looking for guilt best look first into a mirror
Education of course massively helps in the fight against poverty in African society. By providing people with knowledge & skills, education etc it empowers them to break the cycle of poverty & improve their economic prospects. It equips them with the necessary tools to participate in the workforce, create sustainable livelihoods & contribute to the development of their communities. Collaboration between governments, civil society & international organisations is essential to address the existing barriers & create an enabling environment for education to fulfil its potential in poverty reduction.

Knowing the way is not the same as walking it.
Apart from education you need a good piece of will power.
