Gambling has not changed my life for the better or for the worst, I gamble just to get some entertainment and I have a very strict control of how much money I dedicate monthly to the activity, this means that even if I have lost more money than what I have won everything is within the budget I have set for myself, and gambling has not changed my life for the better either as I have to yet win a big prize that could have such a huge effect on my life.

Gambling has affected my life both positively and negatively. I would first start by the positive impact of gambling in my life before moving on to how it affected me negatively:

positive impact:
Gambling got me more exposed to numerous games outside soccer and also exposed me to the different casino games available both in online and offline casinos. I have been into gambling for quite a long time but haven't won any tangible amount my highest win was $200

Negative impact:
Gambling almost got me addicted this happened when I went into a bet with a friend of mine this friend and i made a bet on who would be the first to withdraw a certain amount from a betting platform within certain time frame. This made me stake more than my normal budget and gradually I found my self going back to my left over balance trying my best to ensure I won the bet. My saving grace was I backed out at some point and gave up the competition if not I would have drained my entire. Savings

So what do you say to this questions?
I believe everyone has a different story and experience, so all contributions are welcomed, tell us your experiences with gambling.
It definitely changed something in my life, it helped me improve making good decisions and it goes both ways since that's how gambling goes, sometimes i'd end up making cashing a good chunk of profit then there are days where my luck would go on a long drought and experience one of the worst losing streak. If I could only pick one between the two i'd say yes since gambling made me enjoy watching sports more than before and eventually it became something I look forward to every week or day depending on the events. I've been gambling for several years now and the highest i've won and lost is somewhere around the thousands. I rarely track my bets but I remember winning and losing a good amount at one point due to greed from certain promotions.

"How long have you been gambling?, how has it imparted you? Your life, has it changed your life positively or negatively?"

- Not really sure how long I have been gambling, it's a on/off relationship. It didn't change my life a bit, on the contrary, it just complicate things as obviously, I have been losing money and somewhat become addicted to it.

"what is the highest you've ever won* or lost in a bet/gamble? And lastly, what is your best gambling platform"

- Been a physical casino player, I love the environment and the ambience. Probably in the thousands of dollars in a day lost/won.

It is hard to say when exactly I started gambling, already at a young age I was into lotteries and evrytime I went to a fair in my city most of my friends used all their money on roller coasters whereas I used atleast half of my money for the small lottery and usually won some toys, for example my small army soldiers came from there and I loved them. Also my grandfather used to give me scratch tickets for my birthday, I like to buy them to this day but never won anything big. So small gambling I started around 10, first time casino with 18 and online poker with 21. Since then I gamble on a regular basis.
In regards to if my gambling career was profitable I would probably say no, in poker and blackjack I definitely made money over the years, but in Dice, lottery, roulette and other gambling I definitely lost money. It was still not a waste of my time. Having a good time with friends usually involves spending some money, like going to a bar drinking or watching a game in the stadium. That is why I could never look at gambling as a form of making money. For me the returns are not consistent and reliable enough.

  • How long have you been gambling?, how has it imparted you? Your life, has it changed your life positively or negatively?

More than 15 years IIRC, my first 5 years was offline gambling (playing card game against friends and lottery).
Started online gambling around 10 years ago till this time.
To be frank, it does not change my life significantly but there was a time when gambling changed my life both positively and negatively.

  • what is the highest you've ever won* or lost in a bet/gamble? And lastly, what is your best gambling platform

My biggest win was around $7k, it was a win on a local lottery game.
My biggest lose in one gambling session was no more than $500 as it is my own limit for a single session.

I believe my gambling activity doesn't significantly affect my life, since I play small and for fun. But the gambling industry sure benefit me. It opens up various income streams to promote gambling, via referral, signature campaign, and other promotional works. I can say that the income is enough for a decent living in a 3rd world country. I believe the chance of getting rich via playing is so small, but if you work in the industry, the chance is way higher.

No, It didn't. It could have. (for the better) I occasionally make the right calls but I am too chicken to put big money on my bets. I am a casual gambler. I gamble sometimes but I never think it as a way of generating income. I thought about being the house or investing in a casino too but meh. It is too damn stressful. Even more than my current job. In the end I lost nothing and gained nothing. I think that's a win for most people.

In my case, betting and gambling were what made me know the world of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and despite the fact that I have had losses I have learned a lot about how to control, risk management, how to manage a capital destined only for gambling and how to play without losing money. control and lose all money. I do not play to become a millionaire, I play to mostly have fun, I think that if we see gambling in that way there would be no addiction problems in people, when I play if I lose it does not matter, because I always leave money willing to lose, because I look for the fun, but if I win congratulations and enjoy my win.

No, it didn't change my life but still, I was able to learn from it. My perspective has changed especially when I had the wrong mindset of getting rich through it. I've learned to value my funds and control betting too much. It has an impact on my life yet it didn't change my life in terms of financial stability but rather showed me the real risk of too much gambling.

I started gambling a long time ago around 2010 and played physical gambling like playing cards and domino games and at that time I was addicted and it made me a mess because I lost track of time and didn't sleep during playing, and it only lasted about three years and I was able to avoid addicted because of where I live and with a different environment.
and the meaning of my experience is that in my opinion gambling cannot change my life for anything, there is even a loss for myself, my time and also my finances are wasted.

and when i got to know online gambling i started playing again and just for fun with games that i find interesting and i like it too, and more fun sometimes i get lucky or win.

In past years, I've had gambling runs where I've gone 27 and 4.

Having success at gambling gave me confidence. Wanting to have success at gambling, gave me incentive to be more disciplined and honest with myself on whether greed or calculated risk was the motive behind one wager or another. It helped me to cope with winning and losing. To where, I'm more confident and not as afraid to take risks.

Its very popular at the moment, to push agenda wars against gambling and porn. Under a guise of those things being 100% evil and 0% good. For me personally, gambling has been a win/win scenario.

Stocks, bonds, FOREX, ETFs, mutual funds, precious metals. All of these markets carry risks. Gambling is no different. Learning to mitigate risk and grinding to level up experience is a great life skill to have in this area. Its not for everyone but for those whose talents and skills lie along that path. Its a good experience to have.

I think the majority would answer negative things about it. Gambling affect us mostly in negative ways because of addiction. Unexpected result of the bettor will always lead to either aggression on winning or happiness because of a one time big time jackpot win that could also lead to addiction because of a wrong mindset ( that he could win again if he'll try again) and in the end, his profits got eaten up by the house because of being greedy.

I believe that money earned from gambling is easily lost for reasons that I do not understand.
I totally agree with you on this, I have a friend who I consider addicted to gambling, though he's not too close to me, he's win was what drove me to place my first bet back in 2016, and of course since then, I've been in a out of it but I've never won once.

There was a time this guy won about $700 dollars with a bet of $5 dollars, he was so happy, I was also happy for him too, $700 usd is over 350,000 in my countries currency, this amount of money, though no much, is enough to start an average business, which was what he planned to use the money for, for some reasons best known to him, he didn't withdraw the money to his bank account, but rather, he started gambling with the won money, and this time, according to him, he was gambling with $50, $70 usd at a go, hoping to win more money, maybe in thousands this time, but unfortunately, he didn't win any, before he came back to his senses, what was left off $700 usd was below $50 usd, that was what he withdrawed and that was how he's dream of starting a business was shattered, till today, he's still working in a small factory, I don't know if he still gambles cus we no longer stay in the same area.

I don't request loans~
No. I mean I guess if you consider me spending more money monthly than I'm supposed to due to gambling as "change", then perhaps it did. Though honestly most changes in life due to gambling is either an extremely positive or extremely negative change, one side being addiction, and the other side being lucky and hitting the jackpot, making your life miserable free. I'm on neither side really, I just enjoy gambling every now and then though I don't do it on a daily basis. I've won one 50x before but that's about it, I jump from platform to platform so nothing really noteworthy.

I do not remember how long I have been gambling and I think that has not changed my life now because I can manage my emotion and not use gambling to make money. I already had a bad experience in gambling by losing all of the money in just a second, so from that time, I learned to manage myself and the money because I did not want to have the same experience.

I do not remember how much money I used to gamble because that was a long time ago. I always try to forget about that and I did that so I can gamble whenever I want and stop it right away when I think it is enough.

No, not at all. I rarely win at gambling games, so I'm just going to try my luck in the lottery, which is also a rare win. But my winnings are something I don't really feel because you can easily spend them. For example, the money I won this month was not a large sum of money, but i was spend it only for a night. I believe that money earned from gambling is easily lost for reasons that I do not understand. But I have a friend who does it for a living and consistently wins.

To be honest gambling did not change my life at all, i would even say it barely affected my life at all. The main reason for that is, that i only used money for gambling that i could easily afford to lose without it having any impact on my life (i also act like that when i invest into cryptocurrencies, as i also consider them as a very riskieren investment). Also it seems to be the case that i don't get addicted to something so easily, so i also never really had that problem too.

Gamble responsibly
How long have you been gambling?, how has it imparted you? Your life, has it changed your life positively or negatively?
Since back in 2014, I was addicted and I stopped gambling in 2019. I start to gamble again in 2020 after one year to just have fun with it, no addiction again.

what is the highest you've ever warn or lost in a bet/gamble? And lastly, what is your best gambling platform
I have won over 10x several times when I was addicted but lost far more than won, it is not about the winning but about not losing. Now I win than lose but only once I gamble weekend and only on weekends.

Your testimony to this questions might help some one(not just me) make a decision to either make or break their life... So what do you say to this questions?
Definitely it will help others, I hope to see more of people that are addicted to lose more while people that gamble much to lose, only few that just have fun with it will gain.

It change my life in a way that enlighten me to see how gambling will cost a lot and wipe out your money in a single twink if you got addicted. I'd learn something especially on how to control ourselves before we fall into addiction that most gamblers had been suffering now.
To realize and open our minds that there is no instant rich in gambling, you may spend millions before you got millions too like in the lottery. We have to stop thinking that gambling will save our future as this could never happen.

Britannica defines gambling as the act of betting or staking something of value, with consciousness of risk and hope of gain, on the outcome of a game, a contest, or an uncertain event whose result may be determined by chance or accident or have an unexpected result by reason of the bettor’s miscalculation.

I've never won a gamble before, though I don't gamble frequently, and whenever I do, I do it for fun, and the urge for this kind of fun comes like once or twice in every quarter of a year.

But recently, ive started looking for other ways to earn money, so right now, am looking towards this direction.
